Extend your crossing of the Alps from Bressanone/Brixen to Merano/Meran. On the sou­thern side of the Alps, in the shadow of the Dolo­mi­tes, you hike through the heart of South Tyrol bet­ween Bressanone/Brixen, the cul­tu­ral capi­tal of Tyrol, the pro­vin­cial capi­tal of Bolzano/Bozen at the cross­roads of nor­t­hern and sou­thern cul­tu­re and the spa town of Merano/Meran. Viney­ards and orchards line your path on the second sec­tion of the hike through one of the most beau­tiful are­as of South Tyrol in the cen­ter of South Tyro­lean viti­cul­tu­re. The hiking rou­te runs along mark­ed hiking trails, main­ly through mea­dows and forests. Alt­hough you remain in visu­al cont­act with the Dolo­mi­tes, you will not find any rocky paths along the way.
