Luggage regulations of Feuer und Eis Touristik GmbH for your hiking or cycling tour with luggage transfer.
You enjoy your hiking or cycling tour… And we take perfect care of your luggage!
Feuer und Eis Touristik GmbH includes a luggage transfer service in the tour price for many hiking and cycling tours.
The luggage to be transported by the tour participants on these tours (if listed under “Included services” in the offer description or in the booking confirmation) is transported safely from accommodation to accommodation by selected luggage transport partners with great care and caution.
To ensure that everything runs smoothly, the participant’s luggage must always be ready for collection at the reception of the accommodation by 09:00. Luggage deposited after this time cannot be transported. At the next stage location, luggage can be collected at the reception of the accommodation from 16:00 (subject to change — final information with the travel documents).
Each piece of baggage must be provided with a fire and ice baggage tag to ensure that the transport route can be assigned by customer name and transaction number.
For return transportation (optionally bookable or included in the tour price) from the tour destination back to the starting point, a combined passenger and luggage transfer is offered, for bike tours possibly also including bike transportation (surcharge).
For selected tours (e.g. Alpine Crossing Tegernsee-Sterzing) with tour start Tegernsee, luggage can be deposited at Gmund railroad station if traveling by train or in marked containers at the central Alpine Crossing parking lot if traveling by car — more information in the travel documents.
Note: It is generally not possible for persons to travel in a transport vehicle commissioned by Feuer und Eis exclusively for luggage transfer.
Please observe the following guidelines to prevent damage to your luggage during your hiking/biking tour.
- 1 piece of luggage per person/participant
- Piece of luggage (suitcase, bag) with a maximum weight of 20 kg (information on any deviating weight regulations in the travel documents)
- Each piece of baggage must be provided with the personalized baggage tag provided in the travel documents (no baggage transport without baggage tag)
- 1 additional suitcase with max. 20 kg can be booked for an extra charge (max. 1 additional suitcase per person/participant)
Items not permitted in baggage.
The following items may not be carried in your luggage:
- Valuables, jewelry, cash/payment means of all kinds
- Glass bottles, fragile objects and liquids
- Do not hang shoes, sticks, umbrellas, plastic bags, etc. on your luggage
No liability can be accepted in the following cases:
- Electronic devices such as laptops, tablets, cell phones, cameras, etc.
- Means of payment of all kinds
- Damage to baggage items whose total weight exceeds 20 kg (weight checks by the transport partner)
- Visual damage (scratches, abrasions, dents, etc.) to the luggage or to handles and wheels
