On the trail of the Way of St. James: a pilgrimage through the Alpine countries.

Hiking on the Way of St. James

Pilgrimages through Germany, Austria and Switzerland — Jakobswege von Feuer und Eis.

+ More information

Strictly speaking, there are many ways of St. James. In most cases, however, the term “Way of St. James” refers to the so-called Camino Francés, the main route through northern Spain. However, we follow the old pilgrim saying “The Way of St. James begins on your doorstep” and have concentrated on the Way of St. James in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

The big advantage is that you won’t find crowds of pilgrims on these lesser-known paths and you can leave everyday life behind you on the often lonely routes. The Munich Way of St. James was inaugurated in May 2003, leading from Angerkloster on Jakobsplatz in Munich to Bregenz and Lake Constance, where it joins the Swiss Way of St. James.

Always included: In addition, we have automatically integrated Feuer und Eis travel insurance (accident and salvage insurance) into the price of your trip and are always available for you (even on tour) via our 7‑day carefree service hotline!
