The Munich — Venice long-distance cycle rou­te is a char­ming and varied rou­te that con­nects two world-famous cities. From Munich, you can eit­her cycle along the Isar or past Lake Tegern­see to the Ger­man-Aus­tri­an bor­der near the Achen Pass. After riding along the shores of Lake Aachen, you reach the Tyro­lean Inn Val­ley befo­re crossing the main Alpi­ne ridge from Inns­bruck via the Bren­ner Pass. From the­re, you roll down the for­mer rail­road line through the Eisack Val­ley so that you can branch off into the pic­tures­que Pus­ter Val­ley at Fran­zens­fes­te. Once you arri­ve in Tob­lach, the uni­que Dolo­mi­tes cycle path beg­ins. The rou­te then leads through the tran­quil Pia­ve Val­ley, whe­re you cross the Fad­al­to sadd­le fur­ther south with beau­tiful views of the wild river befo­re rea­ching the Vene­ti­an plain. Pas­sing time-hono­red sites such as Vitto­rio Vene­to, Cone­glia­no and Tre­vi­so, you final­ly reach your desti­na­ti­on in the lagoon city of Venice.
