Crossing the Alps is not “just” a hiking tour. Crossing the Alps is an extraordinary experience and a personal challenge. We know this from experience. Our specialists at Feuer und Eis Touristik have been organizing Alpine crossings for over 30 years. This knowledge and this passion is in every route we plan, in every single stage and in every detail.
An Alpine crossing is an unforgettable adventure that takes you through impressive landscapes and the diverse culture of the Alps.
Our carefully designed routes, such as the tour from Tegernsee to Sterzing, offer you a balanced mix of physical challenge, intense nature experiences and soothing relaxation. Each route is designed not only to satisfy your wanderlust, but also to leave room for the little wonders along the way – be it a clear mountain lake, a blooming alpine meadow or meeting the warm hospitality of the Alpine people.
A variety of routes for every requirement
Our Alpine crossings allow everyone to experience the beauty of the Alps. Choose the crossing of the Alps that suits you: Whether it’s a shorter beginner’s crossing of the Alps with enjoyable stages through gentle valleys or more challenging routes over alpine terrain — there is a route to suit every fitness level, time schedule and personal preference. Each stage is planned to offer a good balance of exercise, nature experience and relaxation. Along the way, you will stay in carefully selected accommodation that reflects the charm and tradition of the region to make your trip even more authentic.
Peak season and early booking
The main season for Alpine crossings is between July and September, when the paths are free of snow and ice and the weather conditions are usually stable. During this time, the tours are very popular, which is why early booking is essential. In particular, the capacities of the accommodations along the routes – from charming inns to cozy hotels – are limited. Registering in good time not only secures your desired dates, but also the best places to enjoy your trip in a relaxed manner.
A journey — that changes you
Regardless of whether you are traveling individually or opt for a guided group – an Alpine crossing offers you the opportunity to experience the mountains from a new perspective. It brings you closer to nature, opens up valuable new impressions and creates unforgettable memories. It is a journey that not only moves you externally, but also enriches you internally – a journey that will stay with you for a long time.
Every Alpine crossing is unique. Discover our many variants and find the route that suits you.
