Cycling: ADFC cycle paths — Feu­er und Eis Tou­ris­tik — Expe­ri­ence natu­re actively

The All­ge­mei­ner Deut­scher Fahr­rad-Club (ADFC) has been awar­ding long-distance cycle rou­tes with the “ADFC Qua­li­ty Cycle Rou­te” award sin­ce 2006. Long-distance cycle rou­tes are tes­ted and asses­sed for their qua­li­ty, with the five-star qua­li­ty cycle rou­te being the hig­hest award. But not only long-distance cycle rou­tes are award­ed pri­zes by the ADFC. Regi­ons that are par­ti­cu­lar­ly geared towards cyclists can also recei­ve awards from the Ger­man Cyclists’ Asso­cia­ti­on. Cri­te­ria for this include varied rou­tes and the­mes, sign­pos­ting, infor­ma­ti­on boards and infra­struc­tu­re such as bike hire and over­night accom­mo­da­ti­on.
