The tradition-steeped historic town is not long behind us before the twin towers of St. Peter’s collegiate church herald the arrival of the Bad Waldsee mud spa and its amenities. On the undulating route to Wangen im Allgäu, museum lovers should visit both the Wolfegg Farmhouse Museum and the three-storey New Kißlegg Castle. The region has so much to offer. The large district town of Wangen im Allgäu is known for its traditional weekly market, which is given a fitting backdrop by the listed old town center. The historic image with its painted towers, fountains and baroque facades is quickly replaced by an appealing meadow landscape. On the last few kilometers, the ride through the region leads through quiet villages and green woodland until the terrain finally slopes down and the long-distance cycle path, lined with fruit orchards, heads towards its destination of Lake Constance.
