Our individual cycle tour offer is supplemented by a guided cycle tour variant as a partial variant of the Lake Constance-Königssee cycle path from Lindau to Lake Tegernsee. In a small group (max. 15 participants) you go on tour accompanied by an experienced cycle guide.
Most cycle tour participants opt for a tour option with included luggage transfer from hotel to hotel.
Our budget-friendly individual tours without luggage transfer do not include luggage transportation from hotel to hotel. Participants do not want to miss out on comfortable hotel accommodation and optimally prepared stage descriptions, but transport their luggage in panniers on their bike or in a small rucksack and thus benefit from the lower tour price (rucksack option).

You are responsible for your own arrival and departure — please note the relevant information in your travel documents. There you will also find information on parking spaces at your tour starting point.

Note: It is generally not possible to park your car at the tour start overnight hotel for the duration of the cycle tour.
In order to be able to guarantee optimum quality in terms of service and schedule at an affordable price, most of our tours are based on a minimum number of participants, which is stated in the respective announcement. If the minimum number of participants is not reached, we will inform you of possible alternatives or cancellations at least 4 weeks before the start of the tour (see also GTC).
We can organize rental bikes for you according to your wishes, we only need your size and weight. You just need to let us know whether you want an e‑bike or trekking bike. For some tours, the rental bike booking is integrated directly into the online booking process; if no rental bike offer is visible, we will be happy to arrange this on request after your online booking. We will then inform you about the costs and details of the rental bike and also offer an optional return transfer (passenger and bike return transfer) for distance tours.
Additional nights before the start or at the end of the tour can be booked for all our tours (own tours). Additional nights can only be booked before and after the tour (directly when booking online or on request after booking).
On some selected individual tours including luggage transfer, it is possible to book additional overnight stays en route.
On our individual tours without luggage transfer, additional nights can generally be added at all stage destinations. This allows you to plan your own rest days for wellness treatments in the hotel or local explorations/small sidetrip hikes (not bookable via online booking, booking only possible on request/by e‑mail).
The trip can no longer be canceled free of charge after the binding booking, the corresponding cancellation fees can be found in our terms and conditions.
The Alpine region is home to a wide variety of climate zones and micro-areas, so the weather is often not bad in all regions at the same time, sometimes it rains one day but the next the sun is shining again.
Our programs take place in all weathers, whether rain, snow or sun — there is no cancellation due to weather conditions. We recommend that you check the weather conditions at the hotel in the morning and choose an alternative route if necessary. Of course, we cannot give you a sunshine guarantee, but we are confident that the best cycling weather will prevail on your trip — just like you, of course! Just in case, you should also take precautions for cooler days and occasional rain showers with a rain or multifunctional jacket (e.g. Goretex) and a change of clothes. Further equipment tips are enclosed with the travel documents. If you do not want to cycle for a day or prefer a transfer due to weather conditions, we can organize a cab transfer for you on request (own costs).
All Fire and Ice tours include accommodation in carefully selected hotels or inns in the 3 to 4‑star category.
Our standards of quality and service — underlined by positive customer reviews — are often matched by simpler establishments with a great deal of charm and typical regional coziness, whereby we subject the facilities and catering services to constant quality control. You will receive your personal itinerary or hotel list with your travel documents approx. 14 days before the start of the tour.

Basically, our tours are designed for enjoyment, comfort and light-heartedness, which can be mastered by anyone with a normal basic level of fitness.

Many of our tours run in the foothills of the Alps or the Alps, so that various meters of ascent and descent have to be mastered. Please note that the route profiles in the foothills of the Alps and the Alps are much more demanding than identical flatland kilometers. We can therefore only make general recommendations — you must assess your personal fitness level individually. However, we are sure that we have a tour to suit your abilities. On all individual and guided cycle tours “including luggage transfer”, we transport your luggage conveniently from hotel to hotel. This means you only cycle with a light daypack and your suitcase will be waiting for you when you arrive at the next hotel (usually from 16:00). When you leave the hotel, leave your luggage at reception by 09:00 at the latest — our luggage transfer partner will then take it to your next accommodation.
On our tours, only 1 piece of luggage per person weighing max. 20 kg is generally permitted. If the piece of luggage is heavier, we reserve the right to make an additional charge. On request, an additional piece of luggage can be booked for a fee at the time of booking. You will receive all details on baggage drop-off and return as well as liability information in the event of baggage damage with your travel documents or under this link: “Luggage regulations”.
Your travel documents include an information folder with general information about your individual tour, a stage/route description with maps or a hiking or cycling tour guide as well as hotel/transfer vouchers so that you are well prepared for your tour.

Your travel documents are also available in a digital version so that you can access them directly from your smartphone. On request, we can also send you your personal travel documents by email in addition to our travel document package by post. In addition to our paper stage descriptions/maps and hiking/cycling guide books, you can of course also use an app navigation system!
For each stage of the tour, a spa/local tax is charged in most of the overnight accommodation locations, which must be paid at the hotel on departure/check-out (usually between € 1–4 per person/night).

During the online booking process, you will also be asked about your dietary requirements. We will pass on this non-binding dietary request (vegetarian, vegan, lactose intolerance) to all hotels. Please note that any additional costs (vegan) must be paid directly on site.
