Gent­le gras­sy moun­ta­ins, char­ming alpi­ne pas­tu­res and tran­quil moun­tain lakes: the KAT Walk (Kitz­bü­hel Alps Trail) com­bi­nes the most beau­tiful high­lights of the Kitz­bü­hel Alps into a varied, unfor­gettable long-distance hiking expe­ri­ence. Whe­ther you’­re loo­king for an ambi­tious sport­ing chall­enge, an enjoya­ble, rela­xed hike or an enri­ching fami­ly adven­ture — every moun­tain fan will find their per­fect rou­te here.  The trail, which is mark­ed throug­hout as a red moun­tain hiking trail and bears the KAT Walk logo, is available in three dif­fe­rent ver­si­ons. The KAT Walk Alpi­ne is ide­al for spor­ty hikers: varied stages on easi­ly acces­si­ble, part­ly natu­ral paths, whe­re the focus is on a real hiking expe­ri­ence. Tho­se who pre­fer a more rela­xed approach will find the KAT Walk Com­pact an enjoya­ble alter­na­ti­ve, whe­re some rou­tes can also be shor­ten­ed using moun­tain lifts. The KAT Walk Fami­ly is ide­al for fami­lies: fami­ly-fri­end­ly stages, exci­ting pro­grams and spe­cial high­lights for child­ren ensu­re that even the youn­gest hikers are enthu­si­a­stic along the way. 

Depen­ding on the cho­sen tour, the dura­ti­on varies bet­ween three and six hiking days, plus an arri­val and depar­tu­re day. The stages lead from Hopf­gar­ten im Bri­xen­tal via Kirch­berg, Kitz­bü­hel and St. Johann in Tirol to St. Ulrich am Pil­ler­see. Depen­ding on the choice of tour, the stages can be shor­ten­ed, while the Three Val­leys Tour deli­bera­te­ly includes lon­ger stays in one place. 

All tour packa­ges include careful­ly sel­ec­ted qua­li­ty accom­mo­da­ti­on, ran­ging from cozy inns to exclu­si­ve 4‑star hotels. Meals can be boo­ked with eit­her break­fast or half board.
