The Mer­ano High Moun­tain Trail is one of the most impres­si­ve long-distance hiking trails in South Tyrol. As a “bond of fri­end­ship from farm to farm, from com­mu­ni­ty to com­mu­ni­ty, from val­ley to val­ley”, it was ope­ned in 1985 — and has been com­bi­ning Alpi­ne moun­tain land­scapes with the Medi­ter­ra­ne­an flair of South Tyrol ever sin­ce. Pan­o­r­amic trails, rustic moun­tain pas­tu­res and impres­si­ve views make every stage a spe­cial expe­ri­ence.

Our tour vari­ants show the Mer­ano High Moun­tain Trail from its most beau­tiful side. On the long-distance tour, you hike from Schnal­s­tal Val­ley to Pfel­der­tal Val­ley on varied stages. Tho­se who pre­fer to tra­vel wit­hout pack­ing their bags every day can dis­co­ver the Alta Via on our star hike from Katha­ri­n­a­berg to Rif­fi­an with com­for­ta­ble over­night stays in Naturns.
