We would therefore like to present three wonderful cycle tours through Upper Bavaria for all cycling enthusiasts looking for relaxation. Because the biking conditions in Upper Bavaria are ideal: there is always a refreshing lake nearby, the impressive landscape invites you to daydream and the nearest beer garden is usually not far away either. There is something for every taste on one of the three loops. You can choose between the “Hopfen-Schleife”, the “Salz-Schleife” and the “Kunst-Schleife”.
On the hop loop, you start in Munich and travel north through the English Garden along the Isar to Freising. There, a visit to the world’s oldest existing brewery, the Weihenstephan state brewery, is a must. The route continues through the largest contiguous hop-growing area in the world, the Hallertau cultural landscape. The German Hop Museum can also be found here. The approximately 270 km of this tour are entirely dedicated to the art of brewing.
