GAMS: Fun — Acti­vi­ty — Cou­ra­ge — Safe­ty on the moun­tain. As pre­pa­ra­ti­on for crossing the Alps or as a basic cour­se for hiking. Expe­ri­ence cou­ra­ge, joy and self-con­fi­dence. In 4 days you will learn important prac­ti­cal tech­ni­ques and recei­ve useful theo­re­ti­cal infor­ma­ti­on in small groups of maxi­mum 9 par­ti­ci­pan­ts. The cour­se takes place in Bay­risch­zell, a rustic Bava­ri­an moun­tain vil­la­ge. Sur­roun­ded by a real natu­ral para­di­se, you will imme­dia­te­ly put what you have lear­ned into prac­ti­ce. You will start your per­so­nal dream tour well pre­pared and with new self-confidence.

Indi­vi­du­al arri­val in Bay­risch­zell and theo­ry afternoon

Wel­co­me to the ori­gi­nal moun­tain vil­la­ge of Bay­risch­zell at the foot of the Wen­del­stein! Once you have arri­ved at one of the most beau­tiful places in Bava­ria, immer­se yours­elf in the won­derful moun­tain world of the regi­on. Your gui­de will wel­co­me you at the hotel at 2 pm. This is fol­lo­wed by an intro­duc­tion to the first cour­se con­tent, which you can put into prac­ti­ce over the fol­lo­wing days. If the­re is still time, a short walk rounds off the day. The day ends with din­ner together. 
Theo­ry, hike near Bay­risch­zell, e.g. Wen­del­stein, theory
Distanz: 0 km Höhe (+): 0m Höhe (-): 0m
After break­fast, theo­ry ses­si­on on tour plan­ning and ori­en­ta­ti­on. Fol­lo­wed by a hike, e.g. on the Wen­del­stein. Exer­ci­s­es in the ter­rain: sure-foo­ted­ness, wal­king with poles, downhill wal­king that is easy on the joints. Return to the hotel in the after­noon, short theo­ry ses­si­on on equip­ment. Din­ner together.

After break­fast, theo­ry ses­si­on on the topic of tour orga­niza­ti­on. Fol­lo­wed by a hike to put into prac­ti­ce what you have lear­ned. Exer­ci­s­es in the ter­rain, sure-foo­ted­ness in dif­fe­rent types of ter­rain. Return to accom­mo­da­ti­on in the after­noon, short theo­ry ses­si­on on meteo­ro­lo­gy. Din­ner together.

Other notes
To ensu­re a stress-free start to the trip, we recom­mend arri­ving at the start­ing point by ear­ly evening in most cases. Some tours start as ear­ly as mid­day, in which case we recom­mend arri­ving the day befo­re and will be hap­py to book an extra night for you at the same time. The indi­vi­du­al return jour­ney takes place on the last day of the tour. The kilo­me­ters are appro­xi­ma­te and may dif­fer from the actu­al kilo­me­ters cover­ed. This tour is not sui­ta­ble for peo­p­le with redu­ced mobility. 
Mini­mum num­ber of participants
If a mini­mum num­ber of par­ti­ci­pan­ts is requi­red for the tour to take place, this is sta­ted under Pri­ces and ser­vices. If the mini­mum num­ber of par­ti­ci­pan­ts is not rea­ched, we reser­ve the right to can­cel the trip up to four weeks befo­re the date of arri­val. We recom­mend that you do not orga­ni­ze your arri­val and depar­tu­re until after this dead­line has passed.

Arri­val
By car: Coming from the north: Take the A8 Munich — Salz­burg high­way to the Weyarn exit and then the B472 / B307 via Mies­bach to Bay­risch­zell. Coming from the south: Take the Inn­tal­au­to­bahn A12 Kuf­stein — Munich to the Kuf­stein Nord exit, then head towards Kie­fers­fel­den / Thier­see, at the traf­fic cir­cle con­ti­nue towards Thier­see and then turn left onto Thier­see­stra­ße, fol­low this via Thier­see to Landl to Bay­risch­zell. RAIL: Take the long-distance trains to Munich and from the­re con­ti­nue with the BRB via Holz­kir­chen to Bayrischzell.
