Beer and brewery hike in the Oberland

from 758,- per person

Southern Bavaria is one of the most traditional beer regions in the world, characterized by centuries-old monastery breweries, artisan village brewers and modern interpretations of beer styles. Your journey first takes you to Bad Tölz, where, thanks to its unique geology, up to 22 breweries once operated and cool tuff cellars provided ideal conditions for storing beer. After a stroll through the historic market street, enjoy the evening in the Binderbräu or Mühlfeldbräu. The next day, hike to the mystical Kirchsee lake and stop off at the idyllically situated Klosterbräustüberl Reutberg, known for its mountain panorama and strong monastery beers. Continue through the hilly foothills of the Alps to Waakirchen and the innovative Hoppe-Bräu brewery. You then travel to Lake Tegernsee, where a circular hike to the Riederstein and a visit to the legendary Tegernseer Bräustüberl are on the program. The route continues to Schliersee via the panoramic Berggasthof Neureuth. There you can explore the lake and the ruins of Hohenwaldeck Castle. The Markus Wasmeier Open-Air Museum offers a special experience with its historic museum brewery, where the traditional art of brewing is brought to life. Landscape, culture and beer enjoyment combine to create an atmospheric beer and brewery hike in the beautiful Oberland region.
