Feuer und Eis partner tour

From Dobbiaco to Jesolo by gravel bike

from 559,- per person

This cycle tour, specially developed for gravel bikes, is extremely varied. The starting point is in the picturesque Alta Pusteria, from where you reach the heart of the pale mountains — the Dolomites with their world-famous landmark, the Three Peaks UNESCO World Heritage Site. Their foothills will accompany you until the penultimate stage. You then leave the mountains behind you and cycle towards the sea. Arrival in the lagoon city of Venice, affectionately known as the Serenissima, draws ever closer.

Itinerary / Stages

Day 1
Arrival Hochpustertal (Niederdorf/Toblach)
Distanz: 0 km Höhe (+): 0m Höhe (-): 0m
Individual arrival at the hotel in Alta Pusteria. Free unguarded public parking available near the hotel.
Day 2
Alta Pusteria Prato Piazza Cortina dAmpezzo
Distanz: 55 km Höhe (+): 0m Höhe (-): 0m
The more challenging variant takes you first to the Braies Valley. Here you can make a detour to the idyllic Lake Braies. This stage takes you to the Pla?tzwiese high plateau, above which the Du?rrenstein and the Hohe Gaisl tower majestically. The route then descends along the old military road into the Ho?hlenstein Valley and over the old Ferrovia delle Dolomiti railroad line via the Cimabanche Pass to the Olympic town of Cortina d’Ampezzo. The easier option leads directly along the railroad cycle path through the Ho?hlensteintal valley to Cortina dAmpezzo.
Day 3
Cortina dAmpezzo Belluno
Distanz: 80 km Höhe (+): 0m Höhe (-): 0m
On the more challenging variant, you first follow the Lunga Via delle Dolomiti cycle path along the former railroad line. On the left, the view falls on the Sorapis mountain range and on the right on the rock formation of the Cinque Torri. After a steep climb, you reach Zoppè di Cadore, the highest municipality in the municipality of Belluno. From there, the route continues to Longarone. Longarone was completely destroyed in 1963 by a flood caused by a rockslide into the reservoir. The village was rebuilt within a very short time. You cycle past the Ponte nelle Alpi to the stage destination of Belluno. The easier option takes you along the cycle path to Pieve di Cadore, Longarone and then to Belluno.
Day 4
Belluno Pieve di Soligo / Susegana
Distanz: 85 km Höhe (+): 0m Höhe (-): 0m
On the more challenging variant, you reach the famous Nevegal high plateau right at the start after a long climb. Here you follow in the footsteps of the 2011 Giro dItalia, which led from Belluno up to Nevegal. From there you can see Santa Croce and Lake Morto. Along the mountain ridge you can enjoy an impressive 360 panorama. To the north you can still see the Dolomites and on a clear day you can already make out the blue Adriatic Sea to the south. You cycle further south through the Prosecco region, surrounded by vineyards. A highlight of today’s stage is the Molinetta della Croda, an old watermill from the 17th century. You then cycle on to the stage destination of Pieve di Soligo/ Susegana. The best way to end the evening is with a good glass of wine. On the easier option, you stay in the valley and cycle through hilly terrain, first past Lago di Santa Croce and then also through the Prosecco region to the stage destination.
Day 5
Pieve di Soligo — Jesolo
Distanz: 75 km Höhe (+): 0m Höhe (-): 0m
There is only one option for this stage. The route takes you along the Piave. You have almost left the mountains behind you and continue on a gentle slope towards Ponte della Priula. On the way to the lagoon beaches, the town of Noventa di Piave is a particularly popular place for cyclists to take a break, as it offers good shopping opportunities with fashion and sports outlets. The stage continues to the beaches of the Venice lagoon. At the end of the stage you reach Jesolo, one of the most picturesque towns in eastern Veneto.
Day 6
Departure
Distanz: 0 km Höhe (+): 0m Höhe (-): 0m
Individual departure or possibility of extension.
