The long-distance cycle rou­te from Munich to Jeso­lo com­bi­nes lei­su­re cycling and crossing the Alps in a uni­que way. You will dis­co­ver three count­ries full of scenic high­lights and cul­tu­ral tre­asu­res on well-main­tai­ned cycle paths, idyl­lic side roads and his­to­ric rail­road lines. From the metro­po­lis of the Isar across the glit­te­ring lakes and rivers of Bava­ria, the rou­te leads through the Tyro­lean Inn Val­ley, on to the UNESCO World Heri­ta­ge Site of the Dolo­mi­tes and through the love­ly Vene­to regi­on. At the end, it is not the lagoon that awaits you, but the end­less san­dy bea­ches of Jeso­lo, a lively sea­si­de resort on the Adria­tic that pro­mi­ses Medi­ter­ra­ne­an flair and rela­xa­ti­on by the sea.

Indi­vi­du­al arri­val at the start­ing hotel in Munich. If you arri­ve ear­ly, use the time to explo­re the capi­tal of the Free Sta­te of Bava­ria. If you arri­ve during the Okto­ber­fest, you will spend the night in Bad Tölz and tra­vel by train to the start of the tour in Munich on the first day of the tour. Your ticket for the train jour­ney will be enc­lo­sed with your tra­vel docu­ments or you will recei­ve it digitally. 
Day 1
Munich — Bad Tölz
Distanz: 58 km Höhe (+): 440m Höhe (-): 320m
Along the shim­me­ring tur­quoi­se Isar, you lea­ve Munich and gra­du­al­ly immer­se yours­elf in a quie­ter, more pris­ti­ne land­scape. The cycle path takes you past idyl­lic monas­te­ries, through char­ming Bava­ri­an vil­la­ges with oni­on domes and flower-deco­ra­ted hou­ses and into the expan­si­ve Isar flood­plains with their gra­vel banks, mea­dows and shady ripa­ri­an forests. Always accom­pa­nied by the gent­le murm­ur of the river, you enjoy varied natu­re and wide views of the Alpi­ne foot­hills until you final­ly reach the tra­di­tio­nal raf­ting town of Bad Tölz. Here, a par­ti­cu­lar­ly inte­res­t­ing old town with colorful faca­des, cozy alley­ways and genui­ne Bava­ri­an flair awaits you — an atmo­sphe­ric end to this enjoya­ble first stage along the Isar. 
Day 2
Bad Tölz — Schwaz
Distanz: 77 km Höhe (+): 720m Höhe (-): 830m
From Bad Tölz, fol­low the Isar fur­ther south to the impres­si­ve Syl­ven­stein­see lake, who­se emer­ald green waters nest­le pic­tures­que­ly bet­ween the sur­roun­ding moun­ta­ins. The rou­te then takes you through the pris­ti­ne land­scape of the Kar­wen­del Natu­re Park, whe­re den­se forests, clear moun­tain air and impres­si­ve views accom­pa­ny you along the way. After crossing the Ger­man-Aus­tri­an bor­der, you reach the Achen­see vaca­ti­on regi­on with its fjord-like moun­tain lake of the same name. Here you have the oppor­tu­ni­ty to enjoy the alpi­ne sce­n­ery from the water on a rela­xing boat trip. Depen­ding on avai­la­bi­li­ty, you will spend the night in Jen­bach or Schwaz. 
Day 3
Schwaz — Mühlbach
Distanz: 85 km Höhe (+): 360m Höhe (-): 940m
From Jen­bach or Schwaz, cycle along the well-main­tai­ned cycle path along the Inn to the Tyro­lean capi­tal of Inns­bruck. The­re, the his­to­ric old town invi­tes you to take a stroll: Admi­re the famous Gol­den Roof, take a detour to the Berg­isel with its striking ski jump or visit the Berg­isel Muse­um, which com­me­mo­ra­tes the Tyro­lean free­dom fights under Andre­as Hofer. The first chal­len­ging sec­tion of the day from Inns­bruck up to the Bren­ner Pass, the bor­der bet­ween Aus­tria and Ita­ly as well as an important waters­hed and cul­tu­ral axis, is com­for­ta­b­ly cover­ed by train trans­fer. Due to the hea­vy traf­fic, cycling on the main road is not recom­men­ded. At the Bren­ner its­elf, only a few buil­dings still bear wit­ness to the for­mer bor­der sta­ti­on. You then enjoy a scenic des­cent: cycle along the for­mer rail­road line down to the Fug­ger town of Ster­zing and on via Fran­zens­fes­te to 
Day 4
Rio di Pus­te­ria — Vil­la­bassa / Dobbiaco
Distanz: 50 km Höhe (+): 720m Höhe (-): 310m
rom Mühl­bach, a com­for­ta­ble cycle path runs through the Pus­ter­tal val­ley, past the Mühl­ba­cher Klau­se, once a bor­der post and his­to­ri­cal gate­way bet­ween the Roman pro­vin­ces of Rhae­tia and Nori­cum. Along the Rienz you reach Bru­neck. The­re, it is worth making a detour to the Folk­lo­re Muse­um in Die­ten­heim, which offers insights into rural life, cul­tu­re and tra­di­ti­ons in South Tyrol. You then con­ti­nue along the Rienz to Dob­bia­co, the desti­na­ti­on of today’s stage. After the kilo­me­ters you have alre­a­dy cover­ed, we offer you a bike pit stop in Dob­bia­co to check your bike. 
Day 5
Nie­dern­dorf / Tob­lach — Pie­ve die Cado­re / Cal­al­zo die Cadore
Distanz: 65 km Höhe (+): 967m Höhe (-): 943m
Today you cycle along the cycle path of the for­mer Dolo­mi­te Rail­way through the Höh­len­stein Val­ley, past Lake Tob­lach and the war ceme­tery, which com­me­mo­ra­tes the events of the First World War. A litt­le later, an impres­si­ve pan­o­r­amic view of the striking rock for­ma­ti­on of the Three Peaks opens up befo­re you reach Lake Dür­ren­see. The rou­te clim­bs gent­ly to the bor­der bet­ween the pro­vin­ces of Bol­za­no and Bel­lu­no. You then roll downhill along the for­mer rail­road line and reach the Dolo­mi­te town of Cor­ti­na d’Am­pez­zo, nest­led in an impres­si­ve moun­tain land­scape. Con­ti­nuing ste­adi­ly downhill, most­ly on the for­mer rail­road line, the view sweeps left to the Sora­pis mas­sif and right to the rock for­ma­ti­ons of the Cin­que Tor­ri (Five Towers). Con­ti­nue sou­thwards through the Boi­te Val­ley to the Pie­ve / Cal­al­zo di Cado­re junction. 
Day 6
Pie­ve di Cado­re / Cal­al­zo die Cado­re — Conegliano
Distanz: 81 km Höhe (+): 730m Höhe (-): 1500m
On the new­ly exten­ded cycle path, fol­low the cour­se of the for­mer rail­road line in the direc­tion of Lon­ga­ro­ne. The town was rebuilt in a very short time after the devas­ta­ting Vajont dis­as­ter in 1963: At the time, a huge lands­li­de trig­ge­red a tidal wave in the reser­voir, which des­troy­ed lar­ge parts of the town. Today, a memo­ri­al and the Vajont Muse­um com­me­mo­ra­te this event and its histo­ry. The rou­te leads plea­sant­ly through the wide Pia­ve val­ley, past small vil­la­ges and accom­pa­nied by woo­ded moun­tain slo­pes, befo­re the land­scape incre­asing­ly opens up and beco­mes more Medi­ter­ra­ne­an. Final­ly you reach Cone­glia­no, a lively town with a his­to­ric cen­ter, cha­rac­te­ri­zed by Vene­ti­an archi­tec­tu­re, arca­des and the cast­le per­ched on a hill. Cone­glia­no is also con­side­red the gate­way to the Pro­sec­co regi­on and invi­tes you to lin­ger in its squa­res and cafés. 
Day 7
Cone­glia­no — Jesolo
Distanz: 84 km Höhe (+): 190m Höhe (-): 260m
You lea­ve the Alps behind you and cycle through the plain to Tre­vi­so. From Tre­vi­so, head towards the Adria­tic Sea to Jesolo

If the mini­mum num­ber of par­ti­ci­pan­ts is not rea­ched, we reser­ve the right to can­cel the trip up to four weeks befo­re the arri­val date. We recom­mend that you do not orga­ni­ze your arri­val and depar­tu­re until after this dead­line has passed.
Other notes
To ensu­re a stress-free start to the trip, we recom­mend arri­ving at the start­ing point by ear­ly evening in most cases. Some tours start as ear­ly as mid­day, in which case we recom­mend arri­ving the day befo­re and will be hap­py to book an extra night for you at the same time. The indi­vi­du­al return jour­ney takes place on the last day of the tour. The kilo­me­ters are appro­xi­ma­te and may dif­fer from the actu­al kilo­me­ters cover­ed. This tour is not sui­ta­ble for peo­p­le with redu­ced mobility. 
Okto­ber­fest time
If you arri­ve during the Okto­ber­fest 19.09 ? 05.10.2025 you will stay over­night in Bad Tölz ins­tead of Munich. You will recei­ve a train ticket Bad Tölz — Munich with your tra­vel documents.

Why is a train ride plan­ned bet­ween Inns­bruck and the Bren­ner Pass? This sec­tion is not only chal­len­ging, but you would also have to tack­le it on a busy sta­te road. 
Return trans­fer from Jeso­lo to Munich
Rail: Good train con­nec­tions from Venice/mainland to Munich (www.bahn.de). Via Flix­bus from the Doge metro­po­lis to Munich. Pla­ne: from Venice Air­port to most Ger­man air­ports. Bus shut­tle: on request ?274 per per­son plus ?45 per own bike (mini­mum num­ber of par­ti­ci­pan­ts 4 per­sons) Depar­tu­re point in Mest­re approx. 07.40 am: pick-up at the hotel. Return jour­ney via Vil­lach (10:30 am), arri­val Munich Hotel Bau­er approx. 4:30 pm. Pri­va­te trans­fer: On request, we can orga­ni­ze an indi­vi­du­al return trans­fer (return jour­ney pos­si­ble dai­ly) in a mini­bus from the boo­ked hotel to Munich. Pri­ce on request.

Tour cha­rac­ter
he cycle tour from Munich to Jeso­lo com­bi­nes the charm of the lakes with the cha­rac­ter of the moun­ta­ins and is a very varied tour. The most dif­fi­cult parts of the Alpi­ne crossing (Inns­bruck ?Bren­ner) can be shor­ten­ed by train or easi­ly cycled along the old rail­road line (Tob­lach Cor­ti­na). The last two days are downhill and flat towards the sea.
