This gui­ded Alpi­ne crossing for spor­ty fami­lies with one or two young peo­p­le aged 14 and over com­bi­nes an expe­ri­ence of natu­re, exer­cise and per­se­ver­ance to crea­te an unfor­gettable adven­ture. On varied stages, you hike through impres­si­ve moun­tain land­scapes, past clear lakes, green alpi­ne pas­tu­res and striking peaks. The focus is on fit­ness, team spi­rit and enjoy­ing natu­re — always with the aim of arri­ving in Ster­zing tog­e­ther. The tour is accom­pa­nied by spe­ci­al­ly trai­ned moun­tain gui­des with expe­ri­ence in natu­re edu­ca­ti­on and working with young peo­p­le. They ensu­re safe­ty, moti­va­ti­on and exci­ting insights into the alpi­ne world. A dai­ly moti­va­ti­on and reward packa­ge also keeps the youngs­ters hap­py and makes every stage a small suc­cess. The big finis­her moment awaits at the end: the youngs­ters recei­ve a medal. Of cour­se, the­re is also a finis­her T‑shirt and a cer­ti­fi­ca­te for all par­ti­ci­pan­ts. This crossing of the Alps is more than just a hiking trip — it is a com­mon goal that con­nects and will be remem­be­red for a long time.

Itinerary / Stages

Day 1
Jour­ney to Garmisch-Partenkirchen
Distanz: 16 km Höhe (+): 300m Höhe (-): 600m
Mee­ting point 08:45 am. Ascent with the gon­do­la lift to Eck­bau­er (1,250 m). Hike past Elmau Cast­le to the beau­tiful­ly situa­ted Lau­t­er­see lake and on to Mit­ten­wald. Bus trans­fer to Axams. 
Day 2
Axams — Stubatail
Distanz: 14 km Höhe (+): 600m Höhe (-): 1200m
An impres­si­ve stage leads through the quiet area of the Kalk­kö­gel over the Halsl crossing into the Stu­bai­tal with magni­fi­cent views of the sur­roun­ding mountains.
Day 3
Stu­bai Val­ley — Maria Wald­rast Monas­tery — Wipp Valley
Distanz: 15 km Höhe (+): 830m Höhe (-): 1230m
In the mor­ning, take the Ser­les­bahn cable car back to the Stu­bai Alps. Past the Wald­ras­ter Jöchl, hike in the direc­tion of the Maria Wald­rast monas­tery inn. At the foot of the Ser­les sum­mit (2,718 m) lies the pil­grimage site and monas­tery inn Maria Wald­rast (1,641 m). Men­tio­ned as ear­ly as 1400, it is still the desti­na­ti­on of many pil­grims today. You then hike uphill past the Bla­ser­hüt­te hut towards the sum­mit cross befo­re begin­ning the des­cent to Trins in the Gschnitz­tal valley. 
Day 4
Wipp­tal — Obernbergtal
Distanz: 16 km Höhe (+): 1050m Höhe (-): 850m
Hike from one val­ley to the next via the Egger­joch to the Licht­see lake, a well-known place of power in the Alps. A popu­lar excur­si­on desti­na­ti­on, the lake lies in a wide hol­low to the east of the Truna­joch at an alti­tu­de of 2,101 m abo­ve sea level. The point offers magni­fi­cent views to the south, to the Tri­bu­lau­nas and espe­ci­al­ly to the Olpe­rer. Des­cend into the idyl­lic Obern­berg­tal valley. 
Day 5
Obern­berg­tal — Pflerschtal
Distanz: 16 km Höhe (+): 780m Höhe (-): 1100m
In the midd­le of the Tri­bu­lau­ne natu­re reser­ve lies Lake Obern­berg, a breath­ta­king natu­ral monu­ment that reflects the beau­ty of its sur­roun­dings. As in times gone by, the bor­der is crossed on old smugg­lers’ paths over the Sand­joch into the Ita­li­an Pflersch Valley. 
Day 6
Pflersch Val­ley — Vipiteno
Distanz: 10 km Höhe (+): 470m Höhe (-): 300m
The Dolo­mieu­weg, also known as the 6?Almenweg, starts at the Lad­ur­ner­hüt­te high abo­ve the Pflersch­tal val­ley. The hike leads past rustic alpi­ne pas­tu­res to the Val­min­g­alm, a char­ming alpi­ne vil­la­ge in the quiet Val­ming­tal val­ley. After a while, the desti­na­ti­on of Ster­zing is cle­ar­ly in sight. Just a few more steps and you have rea­ched it!
Day 7
Ster­zing — Garmisch-Partenkirchen
Distanz: 0 km Höhe (+): 0m Höhe (-): 0m
Enjoy ano­ther won­derful break­fast at the hotel befo­re set­ting off on your return jour­ney to the start­ing point of your hiking tour in Gar­misch-Par­ten­kir­chen. You will defi­ni­te­ly not for­get the last few days, not least becau­se of your cer­ti­fi­ca­te for crossing the Alps in Gar­misch, but also count­less memo­ries of idyl­lic hikes, magi­cal views and impo­sing peaks.
