You arri­ve in the sou­thern­most muni­ci­pa­li­ty in Ger­ma­ny, at the gate­way to the Alps. 75 per­cent of the muni­ci­pal area alo­ne is under land­scape or natu­re con­ser­va­ti­on. You noti­ce, feel, see and smell this immediately. 
Oberst­dorf — Kempten
Distanz: 45 km Höhe (+): 80m Höhe (-): 210m
From Oberst­dorf you start along the Iller past Fischen, Sont­ho­fen and Immenstadt to Kemp­ten, one of the oldest towns in Germany.
Kemp­ten — Memmingen
Distanz: 40 km Höhe (+): 320m Höhe (-): 370m
Bet­ween Kemp­ten and Iller­beu­ren you immer­se yours­elf in the coun­try­si­de befo­re fol­lo­wing the river again to Memmingen.
Mem­min­gen — Ulm

Always along the Iller dam and through the flood­plain land­scape. You will soon see the hig­hest church tower in the world, Ulm Mins­ter, befo­re you are gree­ted by the Ulm Sparrows.

Arrival/Departure/Parking
Arri­val by car: Take the high­way Ulm — Kemp­ten or Munich — Kemp­ten and con­ti­nue on the B19 to Oberstdorf.arrival by train: Take the train to Oberst­dorf sta­ti­on. The sta­ti­on is approx. 10 minu­tes’ walk away.return jour­ney: We recom­mend taking the train back from Ulm to Obers­dorf. Dura­ti­on approx. 2 hours — seve­ral times a day. We are hap­py to book an orga­ni­zed return trans­fer on request. Par­king: Public par­king spaces at the ent­rance to Oberst­dorf, for exam­p­le P1 and P2.
