Cycle downhill towards Ulm with the Alps behind you. The Iller Cycle Path is a sec­tion of the All­gäu Cycle Tour, a 4‑star ADFC-qua­li­fied long-distance cycle path.

Start your jour­ney along the Iller cycle path today. Cycle towards Sont­ho­fen and pass the source of the Iller, whe­re the Breitach, Stil­lach and Tret­t­ach rivers flow into the Iller. Via Immenstadt, which is cha­rac­te­ri­zed by its his­to­ric buil­dings, you reach Kemp­ten. Dis­co­ver the histo­ry of one of the oldest towns in Ger­ma­ny, for exam­p­le during the mul­ti­vi­si­on show in the under­ground Eras­mus Cha­pel on St. Mang Squa­re. Sur­roun­ded by count­less forests and lakes, Kemp­ten lies pic­tures­que­ly in the midd­le of the beau­tiful All­gäu coun­try­si­de. You then cycle on to Diet­manns­ried, whe­re you can mar­vel at the Iller breakth­rough. At the end of the day, you cycle on through Bad Grönenbach.

From Mem­min­gen, the city of gates and towers, fol­low the Iller cycle path. You will reach Kirch­dorf, which lies in the cen­tral Iller val­ley. Cycle on to the muni­ci­pa­li­ty of Det­tin­gen, one of the six Iller­tal muni­ci­pa­li­ties in the dis­trict of Biber­ach. Pas­sing the muni­ci­pa­li­ty of Kirch­berg, Iller­tis­sen and Sen­den, you final­ly reach Ulm, the desti­na­ti­on of your cycle tour.

From Ger­ma­ny A7 (Ulm-Füs­sen) to the All­gäu inter­ch­an­ge. At the All­gäu free­way junc­tion, take the sec­tion of the A980 (towards Lin­dau) to Wal­ten­ho­fen and con­ti­nue on the B19 via Sont­ho­fen to Oberst­dorf. From Switz­er­land or Vor­arl­berg (A) Via St. Gal­len towards Bre­genz then con­ti­nue on the Quer­al­pen­stras­se to Ober­stau­fen via Immenstadt, Sont­ho­fen to Oberst­dorf. In sum­mer also pos­si­ble via Bre­gen­zer­wald (Hit­tis­au) — Ried­berg­pass — Fischen — Oberst­dorf.
