You lea­ve Munich along the Isar. The rou­te takes you past monas­te­ries, through Bava­ri­an vil­la­ges and through the Isar mea­dows to the raf­ting town of Bad Tölz with its beau­tiful old town. 
Bad Tölz — Mittenwald

From Bad Tölz you ride through the beau­tiful land­scape of the Alpi­ne foot­hills, pas­sing through the vil­la­ges of Winkl, Fleck and Leng­gries. From Syl­ven­stein­see, who­se sur­roun­dings exu­de a hint of Indi­an sum­mer, fol­low the cour­se of the crys­tal-clear moun­tain stream to Mittenwald 
Excur­si­on to the source of the Isar

Today you go on an excur­si­on to the main sources of the Isar in the high moun­ta­ins. A wide forest road leads you to the source of the Isar. From the­re, a natu­ral path allows you to explo­re the first ori­gi­nal springs on foot. The crys­tal-clear young Isar gus­hes out of the moss-cover­ed rocks abo­ve Mittenwald.

Par­king / Departure
You can park at the start hotel for approx. 7 per day, pri­or writ­ten regis­tra­ti­on at the hotel is neces­sa­ry / good train con­nec­tions from Mit­ten­wald; hour­ly to Munich (train jour­ney takes approx. 2 h).

Munich Air­port and by train 
Tour cha­rac­ter
A mix­tu­re of asphal­ted cycle paths, quiet side roads and unsur­faced forest, field and river­si­de paths. A busy sec­tion of approx. 20 km awaits you in the Isar­win­kel. The rou­te is slight­ly uphill throug­hout, e‑bikes are recommended. 
Ren­tal bikes
Deli­very to the Munich start­ing hotel is included in the ren­tal bike pri­ce. If you are not tra­ve­ling back to Munich after the tour, an addi­tio­nal bike return is pos­si­ble for an extra char­ge. Addi­tio­nal access­ories such as bike bags, repair kit etc. on request (addi­tio­nal cos­ts are to be expected) 
Other notes
To ensu­re a stress-free start to the trip, we recom­mend arri­ving at the start­ing point by ear­ly evening in most cases. Some tours start as ear­ly as mid­day, in which case we recom­mend arri­ving the day befo­re and will be hap­py to book an extra night for you at the same time. The indi­vi­du­al return jour­ney takes place on the last day of the tour. The kilo­me­ters are appro­xi­ma­te and may dif­fer from the actu­al kilo­me­ters cover­ed. This tour is not sui­ta­ble for peo­p­le with redu­ced mobility.

If the mini­mum num­ber of par­ti­ci­pan­ts is not rea­ched, we reser­ve the right to can­cel the trip up to four weeks befo­re the date of arri­val. We recom­mend that you do not orga­ni­ze your arri­val and depar­tu­re until after this dead­line has passed.
