Distanz: 94 km Höhe (+): 168m Höhe (-): 524m
You start your first stage early in the morning (by 10 a.m. at the latest) in Mittenwald, in the heart of the Alps. From here, you follow the course of the crystal-clear mountain stream to the Sylvensteinsee lake, whose surroundings exude a hint of Indian summer. Continuing along the Isar and the beautiful landscape of the Alpine foothills, you reach the towns of Lenggries and Bad Tölz. The old town of Tölz in particular, with its historic market street, invites you to take a short break to recharge your batteries. Full of energy, you then continue quickly through the small towns of Osterhof, Königsdorf, Geretsried and Wolfratshausen until you finally reach the Loisach-Isar Canal and Gelting. The final destination of the first stage is the municipality of Schäftlarn, with its historic Benedictine monastery, which is well worth seeing.

Distanz: 80 km Höhe (+): 151m Höhe (-): 291m
Fit and well-rested, you set off today on the route through Grünwalder Forst, directly to Grünwald. Now you are already at the gates of the state capital Munich. Bavaria Filmstadt, Hellabrunn Zoo and the Deutsches Museum are just a few of the sights that are well worth a visit. The English Garden is also one of them. Here, at the foot of the Chinese Tower, you can treat yourself to a little refreshment in the beer garden before setting off via Ismaning to your second stage destination in Moosburg.
Moosburg — Landshut — Plattling
Distanz: 91 km Höhe (+): 3m Höhe (-): 100m
From Moosburg, there are two options for cycling to Landshut: the first option takes you along the high banks on the hills above the Isar, or you can stay on the main route along the Isar until you reach Landshut, from where you first cycle to Niederaichbach and then on to Dingolfing. From here, take the dirt road to Landau. You can reach the next town of Plattling either along the riverbank or by taking the inland route, which is of course explained in more detail in our travel documents.
