Feuer und Eis partner tour

Jura Route

from 1.360,- per person

Between Basel and Lake Geneva, the undulating mountain ranges of the Jura are home to mysterious, off-the-beaten-track landscapes that captivate every traveler. When you think of the Jura, you dream of sparse fir forests, lonely plateaus, grazing horses and spectacular viewpoints. But the Jura also includes the granary of Ajoie, the Doubs valley with the jewel of St. Ursanne, La Chaux-de-Fonds with its checkerboard street pattern, the bustling Val de Travers, the caves of Vallorbe, the enchanting Lac de Joux, the world of luxury watchmakers and, finally, the magnificent wine-growing regions along Lake Geneva.

Additional information

Tour character
The Jura route is somewhat more demanding in terms of topography and is aimed at sporty cyclists. It has an almost “exotic” character and leads through little-known landscapes in the sparsely populated border region with France. Larger climbs can usually be tackled by train or chairlift with bike transport. The tour also leads across secluded plateaus, some with spectacular views over the Swiss Plateau and into the high Alps (Franches-Montagnes, Balcon du Jura vaudois, Vallée de Joux, Parc naturel régional Jura vaudois). The route is almost entirely asphalted and is therefore ideal for racing bikes. For those who prefer a more leisurely approach, an electric bike is recommended.

Can also be booked as a short version
This tour has been designed with a pre-night (tour start on day 2) and a post-night (one more night at the end of the tour before the journey home the next day) to ensure arrival and departure without time pressure. However, you can also book this tour in a 2‑day shorter version (direct arrival and departure), in which case the first and last nights are omitted and the correspondingly saved overnight stays reduce the total tour price. This version cannot be booked online — we will be happy to inform / book you by e‑mail or telephone.
Other notes
To ensure a stress-free start to the trip, we recommend arriving at the starting point by early evening in most cases. The individual return journey takes place on the last day of the tour. The kilometers are approximate and may differ from the actual kilometers covered. This tour is not suitable for people with reduced mobility.

If the minimum number of participants is not reached, we reserve the right to cancel the trip up to four weeks before the date of arrival. We recommend that you do not organize your arrival and departure until after this deadline has passed.
