King Ludwig Trail — In the footsteps of the fairytale king

from 939,- per person

The King Ludwig hiking trail leads through the beautiful Alpine foothills from the idyllic Lake Starnberg, where the fairytale king met his tragic death, to the castles in the Allgäu where he spent his youth. You hike past remarkable sights and Bavarian cultural assets through a landscape that the Bavarian ruler King Ludwig II was particularly fond of. Fantastic hikes through monasteries, tranquil villages, past lakes and moorland await you. Enjoy impressive views of the Ammergau Alps, the Zugspitze and the Allgäu mountains, just as King Ludwig once did.
