The jetty is the destination The Swabian Sea Lake Constance with its mild climate forms the starting point of your cycle tour through the Bavarian picture-book landscape. From the pretty little town of Lindau, you cycle right into the lush green hilly landscape of the Allgäu. Small towns such as Immenstadt, Füssen and Bad Tölz are nestled along the entire route through the hilly foothills of the Alps. Bavarian onion domes peek out from between the hills. Lake Tegernsee, surrounded by mountains on three sides, is a scenic jewel and the destination of your cycle tour.

Individual arrival in Lindau
Distanz: 0 km Höhe (+): 0m Höhe (-): 0m
Individual arrival in Lindau. We recommend arriving by train (the train station is just a few hundred meters from your starting hotel). At 4 pm, your tour guide will be waiting for you at the Hotel Lindauer Hof directly on the town’s harbor basin. After a brief welcome, you will go on a guided tour of the town to get a good overview of its history and not miss any of its architectural gems. Lindau is a must-see medieval town! Here you will find alleyways and streets lined with arcades, a magnificently painted town hall crowned with stepped gables and beautifully decorated churches. The port of Lindau is the most important in Bavaria and its entrance is flanked by a lighthouse and a huge stone lion. Dinner and overnight stay at the romantic Lindauer Hof**** / Lindau.

Back in the valley, the cycle route leads past the Bannwaldsee lake along a small side road up into the forest of the Ammergau mountains. Around midday we reach the picturesquely situated Wieskirche, a rococo jewel and work of art that is a World Heritage Site. Part of the monastery is open to visitors. Through the former electoral Bavarian court baths of Bad Heilbrunn, the route continues between Blomberg (1,248 m) and Stallauer Weiher to Bad Tölz. You can easily explore the lively market street, winding alleyways and the historic spa district on foot.
