Lake Constance-Königssee cycle path with CHARME

from 1.698,- per person

The Bodensee Königssee cycle path always follows the northern edge of the Alps. The cycle path crosses the Allgäu/Bavarian Swabia and Upper Bavaria. Small villages alternate with traditional health resorts and spas. The starting point of the Lake Constance-Königssee cycle route between the lakes is Lindau, from where it heads into the hilly Allgäu region. After an unforgettable view of the Allgäu Alps, the Zugspitze and the Tannheim mountains, you reach Hohenschwangau and see what is probably Germany’s most famous postcard motif: Neuschwanstein Castle, built by King Ludwig II. The Wieskirche church is also worth seeing. It is located a little off the route near Steingaden and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In Benediktbeuern, the Benedictine monastery with over 1,250 years of history is well worth a visit. The cycle route reaches Bad Tölz on the Isar and leads through the Upper Bavarian picture-book landscape to Tegernsee, Schliersee and finally to Chiemsee, for which you should plan some time. The boat takes you to the Fraueninsel and after a round trip you cross over to the Herreninsel, where another magnificent castle from the time of King Ludwig II awaits you. The route leads via Siegsdorf to Bad Reichenhall and Berchtesgaden. The destination of the trip lies in the middle of the alpine landscape of the Berchtesgaden National Park. The Königssee is a truly crowning finale to a royal bike tour.
