The Lech Cycle Path stret­ches for around 250 kilo­me­ters and offers a varied rou­te along the pic­tures­que Lech. The start­ing point is the source of the river in the Alps, whe­re the impres­si­ve natu­ral sur­roun­dings await cyclists. The rou­te leads through idyl­lic vil­la­ges, past his­to­ric towns such as Füs­sen and Augs­burg, and opens up breath­ta­king views of the sur­roun­ding moun­ta­ins. The rou­te is fami­ly-fri­end­ly and most­ly flat, ide­al for beg­in­ners and lei­su­re cyclists. The­re are num­e­rous sights along the cycle path, inclu­ding the impres­si­ve cast­les of Neu­schwan­stein and Hohen­schwan­gau as well as the beau­tiful land­scape of the Lech Val­ley. Cyclists can expe­ri­ence the diver­si­ty of natu­re from clear lakes to lush forests on well-sign­pos­ted paths. Num­e­rous refresh­ment stops invi­te you to enjoy regio­nal spe­cial­ties. The rou­te of the Lech Cycle Path from Steeg to Wei­ßen­bach am Lech is a true natu­ral para­di­se. Start­ing in Steeg, sur­roun­ded by impo­sing moun­ta­ins, the trail leads along the clear, glis­tening Lech, which flows in gent­le cur­ves. The rou­te runs through den­se forests and flowe­ring mea­dows. The­re are always impres­si­ve views of the sur­roun­ding peaks and untouch­ed natu­re. Pic­tures­que vil­la­ges invi­te you to lin­ger, while cozy rest are­as offer cyclists the oppor­tu­ni­ty to enjoy the beau­ty of the land­scape. The fresh, clear air and peaceful atmo­sphe­re make this stage an unfor­gettable expe­ri­ence that invi­go­ra­tes body and soul. This rou­te pro­mi­ses pure idyll and unfor­gettable impressions.

Wei­ßen­bach am Lech — Lech­bruck am See
Distanz: 44 km Höhe (+): 190m Höhe (-): 350m
The Lech cycle rou­te stage from Wei­ßen­bach am Lech to Lech­bruck am See takes you through a peaceful, pic­tures­que Alpi­ne land­scape. You cycle along the Lech, which flows cle­ar­ly and calm­ly through the val­ley. Green mea­dows and forests stretch out on both sides, with the moun­ta­ins in the back­ground. Along the way, you pass small vil­la­ges with tra­di­tio­nal hou­ses and flowe­ring gar­dens. Cows gra­ze peaceful­ly in the pas­tu­res and the fresh moun­tain air accom­pa­nies you. At the finish, in Lech­bruck am See, the view of the idyl­lic Lech reser­voir awaits you — a love­ly place to relax after the tour. 
Day 4
Lech­bruck am See — Lands­berg am Lech
Distanz: 53 km Höhe (+): 370m Höhe (-): 510m
The Lech cycle path stage from Lech­bruck to Lands­berg am Lech leads through a varied land­scape cha­rac­te­ri­zed by rol­ling hills, mea­dows and forests. The rou­te always runs clo­se to the Lech, who­se tur­quoi­se water accom­pa­nies you. You cycle through quiet vil­la­ges and past idyl­lic flood­plains. The rou­te is plea­sant to cycle and offers repea­ted views of the Lech and the sur­roun­ding natu­re. Short­ly befo­re Lands­berg, the river widens and you final­ly reach the his­to­ric old town of Lands­berg, which impres­ses with its well-pre­ser­ved walls and towers. The main squa­re in par­ti­cu­lar, with its colorful faca­des, invi­tes you to lin­ger and forms a love­ly end to the tour. 
Day 5
Lands­berg am Lech — Augsburg
Distanz: 43 km Höhe (+): 70m Höhe (-): 160m
The Lech cycle rou­te stage from Lands­berg am Lech to Augs­burg takes you in a north-eas­ter­ly direc­tion through pre­do­mi­nant­ly flat, rural sur­roun­dings. After lea­ving the his­to­ric old town of Lands­berg, you cycle along the Lech river, which accom­pa­nies you through fields, mea­dows and small vil­la­ges. The rou­te is well deve­lo­ped and runs through quiet, natu­ral are­as with occa­sio­nal wood­land sec­tions. The clo­ser you get to Augs­burg, the more urban the sur­roun­dings beco­me. At the end of the tour, you reach the cen­ter of Augs­burg with its his­to­ri­cal sights such as Augs­burg Cathe­dral and the magni­fi­cent town hall, which forms a beau­tiful end to the stage. 
Day 6
Augs­burg — Donauwörth
Distanz: 66 km Höhe (+): 200m Höhe (-): 290m
The last stage of the Lech Cycle Path from Augs­burg to Donau­wörth takes you through a varied mix of urban sur­roun­dings, natu­re and his­to­ri­cal sites. After start­ing in Augs­burg, you cycle on well-main­tai­ned paths along the Lech, which gra­du­al­ly widens here. First you cycle through the out­skirts of the city befo­re you reach the rural sec­tions again. The rou­te takes you through fields, mea­dows and small vil­la­ges. The Lech accom­pa­nies you, some­ti­mes direct­ly on the banks, some­ti­mes a litt­le fur­ther away, and offers you idyl­lic views of the river land­scape time and again. Short­ly befo­re Donau­wörth, the land­scape chan­ges to the foot­hills of the Swa­bi­an Alb and the Lech flows into the Danu­be. Donau­wörth, the desti­na­ti­on of the enti­re tour, wel­co­mes you with a beau­tiful old town and the impres­si­ve Reichs­stra­ße. Here you can end your jour­ney at the con­fluence of the Lech and Danu­be rivers in a his­to­ric setting.

Mini­mum num­ber of participants
If a mini­mum num­ber of par­ti­ci­pan­ts is requi­red for the tour to take place, this is sta­ted under Pri­ces and ser­vices. If the mini­mum num­ber of par­ti­ci­pan­ts is not rea­ched, we reser­ve the right to can­cel the trip up to four weeks befo­re the date of arri­val. We recom­mend that you do not orga­ni­ze your arri­val and depar­tu­re until after this dead­line has passed. 
Tra­ve­ling with a dog
If you want to take your four-leg­ged fri­end with you on the tour, our ren­tal part­ner has bike trai­lers available for dog trans­por­ta­ti­on. You are wel­co­me to book this on request. 
Ren­tal bikes
We only offer e‑bikes (trek­king bikes) for hire. The bikes are equip­ped with 500Wh Bosch motors. A lock is included in the ren­tal bike pri­ce. Fur­ther access­ories, pan­niers, cell pho­ne hol­der on request. You can pick up your ren­tal bikes with the public bus in Buch or we can orga­ni­ze a pick-up and drop-off ser­vice for you for an extra char­ge. If not boo­ked, you must return your bikes to the bike ren­tal shop in your own responsibility. 
Par­king for the dura­ti­on of the tour
If you arri­ve by car, the­re is a public par­king lot in Lech­tal Straße.
Depar­tu­re
You orga­ni­ze your depar­tu­re indi­vi­du­al­ly. If you have boo­ked ren­tal bikes with us and are tra­ve­ling home direct­ly from Donau­wörth, don’t for­get to book a return trans­fer. You can also book a trans­fer for you, your lug­ga­ge and your bikes back to Steeg on our web­site. It is also pos­si­ble to take the train back to Steeg. Approx. jour­ney time 5 — 6 hours with 4 — 5 chan­ges and from Lan­gen by bus to Steeg. 
Arri­val
Your jour­ney to the start­ing point in Steeg is indi­vi­du­al. By car or train. If you arri­ve by car, plea­se refer to the info map || Par­king. By train from Munich main sta­ti­on. with the Regio­bahn with 2–3 chan­ges to Lan­gen am Arl­berg. Jour­ney time from Munich approx. 4 — 5 hours. We are hap­py to orga­ni­ze a trans­fer from Lan­gen to Steeg if you arri­ve by train. This trans­fer is sub­ject to addi­tio­nal cos­ts. If you don’t have a bike, you can take bus line 750 and line 110 to Steeg in 1:30 minutes
Tour cha­rac­ter
The enti­re rou­te is ide­al for lei­su­re cyclists who app­re­cia­te natu­re and cul­tu­re in equal mea­su­re. Most sec­tions are well paved or run on paved paths, ide­al for rela­xed cycling. The level of dif­fi­cul­ty is mode­ra­te, with some hills in the alpi­ne south and rather flat stret­ches in the north. Quiet river land­scapes, forests and mea­dows domi­na­te the rou­te and offer rela­xa­ti­on in natu­re, often away from major roads. 
Gene­ral information
To ensu­re a stress-free start to the trip, we recom­mend arri­ving at the start­ing point by ear­ly evening in most cases. Some tours start as ear­ly as mid­day, in which case we recom­mend arri­ving the day befo­re and will be hap­py to book an extra night for you at the same time. The indi­vi­du­al return jour­ney takes place on the last day of the tour. The kilo­me­ters are appro­xi­ma­te and may dif­fer from the actu­al kilo­me­ters cover­ed. This tour is not sui­ta­ble for peo­p­le with redu­ced mobility.
