Merano High Mountain Trail including Shuttle

from 818 per person

The Merano High Mountain Trail is one of the most beautiful circular routes in the Alpine region, offering a unique hiking experience amidst high alpine scenery and Mediterranean charm. The starting point of the hike is Katharinaberg in Schnalstal, where the trail winds along narrow paths and well-maintained trails through meadows, forests, and quaint mountain farms. From here, it leads through diverse landscapes with impressive panoramic views into the Vinschgau and Etschtal valleys, always accompanied by the majestic Texel Group. Stage by stage, you follow the high trail, which is not only scenically impressive but also rich in cultural and historical offerings: old farmsteads, small chapels, and the typical South Tyrolean alpine landscape characterize the route. Along the way, cozy snack stations and inns invite you to rest before the tour finally ends in Riffian, near Merano. The hike is organized as a star-shaped tour from Naturns. You will stay continuously at a hotel in Naturns, from where a personal daily transfer will take you to the starting point of each day’s stage and pick you up from the destination back to Naturns. This way, you can easily enjoy the Merano High Mountain Trail without sacrificing comfort.
