From the top of the pass, a beautiful forest path leads you up and over the summit of Collet Portalo to the Alp Bovine mountaineering station. The route continues gently uphill through small villages and wooded areas to the crystal-clear Lac de Champex. It is not for nothing that this place is also known as the Canada of Switzerland: dark wooden houses and extensive wooded areas surround the ice-cold lake.

Don’t miss the stop at this legendary alpine hut!
