Dis­co­ver the south-eas­tern part of the Bava­ri­an Alpi­ne foot­hills on this cir­cu­lar tour. Some of the most beau­tiful lakes in south-eas­tern Bava­ria await you on this almost 350-kilo­met­re tour: From Munich, you cycle via Bad Tölz to the sophisti­ca­ted Tegern­see Val­ley and then on to the roman­tic Schlier­see. From the­re it’s off to Chiem­gau, whe­re you cir­cle Lake Chiem­see with its pas­tel colors on its eas­tern shore. Was­ser­burg is a won­derful old town to explo­re befo­re you start the last stage back to Munich.

Day 1

Day 2
Munich — Bad Tölz
Distanz: 60 km Höhe (+): 510m Höhe (-): 360m
Today you turn your back on Munich and cycle south along the Isar cycle path to your desti­na­ti­on for today, Bad Tölz. On your way along the Isar you pass through num­e­rous towns, inclu­ding Grün­wald, famous for the Bava­ria film stu­di­os, as well as Wolfrats­hau­sen and Gerets­ried. The town of Bad Tölz, whe­re you are stay­ing today, bene­fi­ted ear­ly on from its ide­al loca­ti­on on the Isar. At that time, it was used by raft­smen and is now a tou­rist attrac­tion. The town beca­me a health resort in 1899 and has been known as Bad Tölz ever sin­ce. Worth see­ing are not only the old town, but also the Mari­en­stift and the St. Leon­hard cha­pel on the Kal­va­ri­en­berg with a won­derful view of the Isar mountains.
Day 3
Bad Tölz — Tegernsee
Distanz: 68 km Höhe (+): 670m Höhe (-): 600m
From Bad Tölz, the rou­te con­ti­nues along the Isar via Leng­gries, past the Syl­ven­stein reser­voir. The azu­re blue reser­voir, sur­roun­ded by moun­ta­ins and forests, comes pret­ty clo­se to the wild beau­ty of Cana­da wit­hout exag­ge­ra­ting. A short brea­ther here is the­r­e­fo­re high­ly recom­men­ded. Streng­the­ned, you con­ti­nue towards the Achen­pass. Once the­re, you fol­low the rou­te downhill to Kreuth and reach Lake Tegern­see, ano­ther gem of Upper Bavaria. 
Day 4
Tegern­see — Prien am Chiemsee
Distanz: 71 km Höhe (+): 740m Höhe (-): 970m
Today’s sec­tion of the rou­te runs from Gmund am Tegern­see with con­stant­ly chan­ging uphill and downhill sec­tions via the small vil­la­ges of Gas­se and Ostin to Haus­ham. You now fol­low the Boden­see-Königs­see cycle path along the cour­se of the small, roman­tic Schlier­ach river to Schlier­see. Schlier­see is a beau­tiful lake framed by moun­ta­ins, who­se sur­roun­ding vil­la­ges have lost none of their authen­tic Bava­ri­an flair over the years. Always along the shore you reach Neu­haus, from the­re you con­ti­nue into the hin­ter­land to Fisch­bach­au via Hundham to Son­nen­reuth. Prien am Chiem­see is today’s stage destination.
Day 5
Prien am Chiem­see — Wasserburg
Distanz: 66 km Höhe (+): 350m Höhe (-): 460m
From Prien, you con­ti­nue today on a sec­tion of the Lake Con­s­tance-Königs­see cycle path, along the so-cal­led Bava­ri­an Sea. From here, you lea­ve the pre­vious cycle path and fol­low the Chiem­see shore cycle path towards Traun­stein, which is loca­ted slight­ly off the south-eas­tern shore of Lake Chiem­see. If time per­mits, you should make a detour to the Her­ren­in­sel or Frau­en­in­sel in the midd­le of the Chiem­see. After a few more cycle kilo­me­ters you will reach your over­night stay in Wasserburg. 
Day 6
Was­ser­burg — Munich
Distanz: 66 km Höhe (+): 390m Höhe (-): 300m
To get from Was­ser­burg to Munich, fol­low the Isar-Inn Pan­ora­ma Trail. On the Red Bridge, direct­ly over the Inn, fol­low the signs. You reach Gra­fing via gent­le hills and lar­ge moor­land are­as. Along the way, the pan­o­r­amic views of the Alps are con­stant­ly chan­ging. Once you have left the forests and gla­cial morai­ne land­scapes behind you, side roads and cycle paths lead you back to the sta­te capi­tal of Munich. The end point of the rou­te is sym­bo­li­zed here by the Lud­wigs­brü­cke bridge. You then cycle from the­re to your accommodation.

By train: Tra­vel by train to Munich Cen­tral Sta­ti­on and take the sub­way to the hotel By pla­ne: Low-cost or sche­du­led flights to Munich Air­port. On request, we can orga­ni­ze trans­fers from the air­port to the start­ing point of the tour.
