On cycle paths, cycle rou­tes or small side roads, acti­ve plea­su­re cyclists expe­ri­ence three count­ries with their tou­rist regi­ons and many out­stan­ding natu­ral and cul­tu­ral beau­ties. Munich-Venice leads from the metro­po­lis on the Isar, the Bava­ri­an lakes and rivers via the Tyro­lean Inn Val­ley, along old rail­road lines through the UNESCO World Heri­ta­ge Site of the Dolo­mi­tes and Tre­vi­so to the Doge’s Palaces and canals of the lagoon city of Venice.

Day 1
Indi­vi­du­al arri­val in Munich
Distanz: 0 km Höhe (+): 0m Höhe (-): 0m
Indi­vi­du­al arri­val at the start­ing hotel in Munich. If you arri­ve ear­ly, use the time to explo­re the capi­tal of the Free Sta­te of Bavaria. 
Day 2
Munich — Bad Tölz
Distanz: 58 km Höhe (+): 343m Höhe (-): 208m
You lea­ve Munich along the Isar. The rou­te takes you past monas­te­ries, through Bava­ri­an vil­la­ges and through the Isar flood­plains and on towards the Tegern­see val­ley across green mea­dows and fields and cozy villages. 
Day 3
Bad Tölz — Hall
Distanz: 72 km Höhe (+): 530m Höhe (-): 630m
From Bad Tölz, con­ti­nue along the Isar to Syl­ven­stein­see. You cross the Ger­man-Aus­tri­an bor­der through the Kar­wen­del Natu­re Park and reach the Achen­see vaca­ti­on regi­on and the moun­tain lake of the same name. If you wish, you can take a boat trip on the Achen­see. From Mau­rach, you cycle along the well-main­tai­ned cycle path along the River Inn towards Inns­bruck to Hall im Tirol. 
Day 4
Hall- Bri­xen
Distanz: 90 km Höhe (+): 156m Höhe (-): 899m
Once you arri­ve in Inns­bruck, the capi­tal of Tyrol, you can stroll through the his­to­ric old town, visit the famous Gol­den Roof or take a trip to the Berg­isel with its ski jump or the Berg-Isel Muse­um, which com­me­mo­ra­tes the batt­les on the Berg­isel under the supre­me com­mand of free­dom figh­ter Andre­as Hofer. The first chal­len­ging sec­tion of today’s rou­te from Inns­bruck to the Bren­ner Pass, the bor­der bet­ween Aus­tria and Ita­ly and at the same time the waters­hed and cul­tu­ral axis, is cover­ed by train trans­fer (cycling on the main road is not recom­men­ded due to the con­stant­ly incre­asing volu­me of traf­fic). Only a few buil­dings remain as remin­ders of the for­mer bor­der. From Bren­ner you cycle along the old rail­road line to the Fug­ger town of Ster­zing and fur­ther downhill to Brixen. 
Day 5
Bri­xen — Toblach/Dobbiaco
Distanz: 59 km Höhe (+): 676m Höhe (-): 63m
A well-main­tai­ned cycle path leads from Bressanone/Brixen through the Pus­ter Val­ley, past the Mühl­ba­cher Klau­se, a for­mer bor­der post. This once for­med an anci­ent gate­way bet­ween the pro­vin­ces of Rae­tia and Nori­cum. Along the River Rienz you reach Bru­neck. We recom­mend a visit to the Folk­lo­re Muse­um in Die­ten­heim, which docu­ments rural life, cul­tu­re and cus­toms in South Tyrol. From Bru­neck you cycle along the cycle path along the River Rienz to Tob­lach, your desti­na­ti­on for today. After you have alre­a­dy spent a few kilo­me­ters on the sadd­le, we offer you a bike pit stop in Dob­bia­co to check your bike.
Day 6
Dob­bia­co — Pieve
Distanz: 62 km Höhe (+): 520m Höhe (-): 850m
Today you fol­low the cycle path on the for­mer Dolo­mi­te rail­road through the Höh­len­stein val­ley past Lake Tob­lach and the war ceme­tery, which com­me­mo­ra­tes the First World War. Short­ly after­wards, a uni­que pan­o­r­amic view of the Three Peaks rock for­ma­ti­on opens up befo­re you reach Lake Dür­ren­see. The cycle path clim­bs slight­ly to the bor­der bet­ween the pro­vin­ces of Bol­za­no and Bel­lu­no. Now you cycle com­for­ta­b­ly downhill on the for­mer rail­road line and reach the Dolo­mi­te town of Cor­ti­na dAm­pez­zo with its fan­ta­stic moun­tain sce­n­ery. Con­ti­nuous­ly and gent­ly downhill, for the most part still on the for­mer rail­road line, you can see the Sora­pis mas­sif on the left and the rock for­ma­ti­on of the Five Towers (Cin­que Tor­ri) on the right. Cycle fur­ther south through the Boi­te val­ley to the Pie­ve / Cal­al­zo di Cado­re junction.
Day 7
Pie­ve — Conegliano
Distanz: 83 km Höhe (+): 620m Höhe (-): 1390m
The new­ly deve­lo­ped cycle path takes you to Lon­ga­ro­ne. This town was rebuilt in a very short space of time after it was floo­ded by a tidal wave in 1963 fol­lo­wing a rock­s­li­de into the reser­voir. The rou­te con­ti­nues to Conegliano. 
Day 8
Cone­glia­no — Mest­re / Venice
Distanz: 94 km Höhe (+): 190m Höhe (-): 260m
You lea­ve the Alps behind you and cycle through the plain to Tre­vi­so. Along the way, you can admi­re the vil­las of the Ita­li­an archi­tect Pal­la­dio, who com­ple­ted his magni­fi­cent buil­dings here, in the imme­dia­te sphe­re of influence of the naval power of Venice. On the home stretch towards the Adria­tic, the River Sile will be your com­pa­n­ion to the main­land of Venice, from whe­re you can set off on an exten­si­ve explo­ra­ti­on tour of the ‘Sere­nis­si­ma’ with all its magni­fi­cent buildings.

Rail: Good train con­nec­tions from Venice/mainland to Munich (www.bahn.de). Via Flix­bus from the Doge metro­po­lis to Munich. Pla­ne: from Venice Air­port to most Ger­man air­ports. Bus shut­tle: on request 274 per per­son plus 39 per own bike (mini­mum num­ber of par­ti­ci­pan­ts 4 per­sons) Depar­tu­re point in Mest­re approx. 07.40 hrs: pick-up at the hotel. Tour cha­rac­ter
The cycle tour from Munich to Venice com­bi­nes the charm of the lakes with the cha­rac­ter of the moun­ta­ins and is a very varied tour. The most dif­fi­cult parts of the Alpi­ne crossing (Inns­bruck — Bren­ne­ro) can be shor­ten­ed by train or easi­ly cycled on the old rail­road line (Dob­bia­co — Cor­ti­na). The last two days are downhill and flat towards the sea.

To ensu­re a stress-free start to the trip, we recom­mend arri­ving at the start­ing point by ear­ly evening in most cases. Some tours start as ear­ly as mid­day, in which case we recom­mend arri­ving the day befo­re and will be hap­py to book an extra night for you at the same time. The indi­vi­du­al return jour­ney takes place on the last day of the tour. The kilo­me­ters are appro­xi­ma­te and may dif­fer from the actu­al kilo­me­ters cover­ed. This tour is not sui­ta­ble for peo­p­le with redu­ced mobility.

If the mini­mum num­ber of par­ti­ci­pan­ts is not rea­ched, we reser­ve the right to can­cel the trip up to four weeks befo­re the date of arri­val. From veal sau­sa­ge to Prosecco
This bike tour is real­ly worth the trip.  The rou­te is beau­tiful and the cycle paths are excel­lent­ly sign­pos­ted. The Munich Vene­zia long-distance cycle rou­te not only con­nects 2 world-famous cities with a char­ming rou­te, but also offers cycling plea­su­re and a crossing of the Alps to the Adria­tic Sea… On cycle paths, cycle rou­tes or small side roads, acti­ve plea­su­re cyclists expe­ri­ence three count­ries with their tou­rist regi­ons and many out­stan­ding natu­ral and cul­tu­ral beau­ties… The hotels, each one dif­fe­rent and all very nice. The advan­ta­ge of this charm tour is that all the hotels are actual­ly very cen­tral­ly loca­ted and you could visit the indi­vi­du­al towns on foot. The hotels in Ita­ly don’t have any well­ness faci­li­ties and we com­ple­ted this rou­te in 9 days. Of cour­se, you can also take 11 days to do it, and we also stay­ed 3 days in Venice, which was defi­ni­te­ly worth it. the sight­see­ing tours can be boo­ked very well through go your Gide. the hotel in Venice was also recom­men­ded to us by Feu­er und Eis and was beau­tiful and excel­lent for us in terms of location.We ren­ted trek­king e‑bikes from Fun Akti­ve and got along very well with the­se bikes. the lug­ga­ge trans­port was always punc­tu­al and our lug­ga­ge was usual­ly alre­a­dy in our room when we arri­ved at the hotel. our con­clu­si­on: Many thanks to Mrs. Dem­mel for the excel­lent advice and organization.
