Start your crossing of the Alps to Venice on the first sec­tion from Tegern­see to Kitz­bü­hel. From clear Lake Tegern­see over gent­le alpi­ne pas­tu­res past rug­ged peaks, through the home of the moun­tain doc­tor and on to the fashionable town of Gams­stadt. Take a break on roman­tic lake­si­de mea­dows or in rustic huts — all on your own, alo­ne, with or wit­hout lug­ga­ge. You are also wel­co­me to accom­pa­ny your four-leg­ged fri­end. And in the evening, enjoy the com­fort of a cozy three- or four-star hotel to rech­ar­ge your bat­te­ries. Hiking vaca­ti­ons can be so eventful! Our dream tours from Tegern­see via Kuf­stein, Ell­mau to Kitz­bü­hel are desi­gned to appeal to you as a plea­su­re hiker. Our plea­su­re tours offer rela­xa­ti­on from ever­y­day life and send you into unspoi­led natu­re. The rou­tes are bet­ween approx. 11 and 23 km long and the­re are dif­fe­ren­ces in alti­tu­de bet­ween approx. 300 m and 1000 m to cover. The­re are always alter­na­ti­ve rou­tes for the more chal­len­ging stages. Expe­ri­ence the magic of Lake Tegern­see and the pearl on the Inn — Kuf­stein. Hike the area around the Wil­der Kai­ser and visit the moun­tain doc­tor in his home bet­ween Ell­mau and Going. At the end of the tour, the final jump to the town of cha­mois — Kitz­bü­hel, with a view of the Hah­nen­kamm, is a fit­ting fina­le. A high­light tour with a plea­su­re fac­tor and right on the pul­se of the Alps. 

Itinerary / Stages

Indi­vi­du­al arri­val at the Tegernsee
Distanz: 0 km Höhe (+): 0m Höhe (-): 0m
Arri­ve in one of the most beau­tiful cor­ners of Bava­ria and immer­se yours­elf in the myth of Lake Tegern­see. The magic will take hold of you. 
Tegern­see — Schliersee
Distanz: 12 km Höhe (+): 610m Höhe (-): 590m
You start the tour at the train sta­ti­on in the vil­la­ge of Tegern­see and climb up to the well-known Neu­reuth Hüt­te. An even more beau­tiful vari­ant of the famous Prin­zen­weg leads you via Gin­del­alm and the Auer Berg to the Huber­spitz­haus. From here, you head back down the val­ley to Schliersee. 
Schlier­see — Wen­del­stein — Bayrischzell
Distanz: 12 km Höhe (+): 1040m Höhe (-): 60m
From pic­tures­que Schlier­see, take the bus or train to Aurach. From here you hike to Fisch­bach­au, past the famous place of pil­grimage — Bir­ken­stein. From the­re, the trail winds its way across pic­tures­que alpi­ne pas­tu­res up to the sum­mit. The sum­mit with its fan­ta­stic all-round view allows you to look deep into the Alps. Take the cable car back down into the val­ley and to your desti­na­ti­on of Bay­risch­zell. Alter­na­ti­ve: Aschau — Bay­risch­zell (approx. 3 h / approx. 10.8 km / uphill 191 m / downhill 166 m) Short bus ride to Aschau, from here you hike to Bir­ken­stein and along the foot of the Wen­del­stein to Bay­risch­zell. Ascent to the sum­mit pos­si­ble with the Wen­del­stein cable car. 
Bay­risch­zell — Thiersee
Distanz: 16 km Höhe (+): 840m Höhe (-): 1060m
Short trans­fer from Bay­risch­zell to the start­ing point of the hike. From here you hike over the Nes­sel­berg to the bor­der bet­ween Bava­ria and Austria/Tyrol. Con­ti­nue to the Mari­andlalm befo­re you hike lei­su­re­ly to Thier­see via the Trai­sen­alm with a con­stant view of the Wil­der Kai­ser. From the­re, take the public bus to Hin­tert­hier­see and your hotel. 
Thier­see — Kufstein
Distanz: 18 km Höhe (+): 530m Höhe (-): 900m
Today’s stage takes you from Hin­tert­hier­see past Thier­see, Läng­see and Hecht­see to the pearl of the Inn, Kuf­stein. Here it is defi­ni­te­ly worth visi­ting the fort­ress and the lar­gest open-air organ in the world. If you wish, you can shor­ten the stage with a bus ride to Thiersee. 
Kuf­stein — Ellmau
Distanz: 13 km Höhe (+): 460m Höhe (-): 760m
From Kuf­stein with the Kai­ser­lift to the Bren­ten­joch. On the trail of the Adler­weg to the Kaindl­hüt­te and on via the Wal­ler­alm along the side of the Wil­der Kai­ser to the home of the moun­tain doc­tor in Ell­mau. Free hiking bus from Hin­ter­stei­ner­see to Schef­f­au and on to Ellmau. 
Ell­mau — Kitzbühel
Distanz: 17 km Höhe (+): 650m Höhe (-): 700m
You start over the local moun­tain to Reith bei Kitz­bü­hel. It soon beco­mes clear why high socie­ty has found its second home here. Via the Gier­in­ger Wei­her and the Schwarz­see you reach the legen­da­ry cha­mois and sports town of Kitzbühel.

Additional information

Tour cha­rac­ter
The tour is easy to modera­te­ly dif­fi­cult, runs on well-groo­med hiking trails, gra­vel forest roads and the­re are no clim­bing pas­sa­ges! A head for heights and sure­foo­ted­ness are required.

BY CAR: FROM THE NORTH: Take the A8 Munich-Salz­burg high­way to the Holz­kir­chen exit and then the B318/B307 to Tegern­see. FROM THE SOUTH: Eit­her via the Inn Val­ley, the Achen Pass and the B307 or the Inn Val­ley high­way, the A8 Munich-Salz­burg high­way, to the Irschen­berg exit. Con­ti­nue via the B472 and B318 to Tegern­see. FLIGHT: Munich — Salz­burg — Inns­bruck TRAIN: From Munich main sta­ti­on, take the BRB to Gmund or Tegern­see, bus or cab to the hotel.
