Feuer und Eis own tour

On the trail of the gamekeeper Jennerwein incl. luggage transfer

from 928,- per person

On the trail of the rebellious marksman Jennerwein through the Tegernsee-Schliersee-Spitzingsee Alpine region. Discover the life of the poacher alongside the enchanting landscape and picturesque lakes. Experience at first hand where the drama took place, why a poached chamois buck can still be found at the grave of the Jennerwein and whether the legend is true, as the folk songs suggest. You hike through the Tegernsee-Schliersee-Spitzingsee vacation region in comfort. Our hikes offer relaxation from everyday life and send you out into unspoiled nature, but require a good basic level of fitness. You can recharge your batteries again and again in selected quality accommodation. The routes are between 14 and 18 km long and there are differences in altitude of between 550 and 1100 m to cover. Experience fantastic tours between mountains and lakes in the footsteps of the “Girgl von Schliers”.

From Tegernsee to Schliersee

Start in the village of Tegernsee, from here with an even more beautiful variant of the famous Prinzenweg via Neureuth, Gindelalm and Kreuzbergalm to Schliersee with a visit to the memorial plaque of the gamekeeper Jennerwein.

Distanz: 16 km Höhe (+): 890m Höhe (-): 580m
First you cycle along the Schliersee at almost ground level to Neuhaus. Today’s stage then takes you via the Raineralm to the Bodenschneid. If you are still in good shape, you should make a detour to the Rinnerspitz. You are now in the middle of the legendary setting of the saga of the gamekeeper Jennerwein. Via the Suttenstein and the Firstgraben you descend to Spitzingsee.

The last stage of the tour leads from Spitzingsee, over the Roßkopf to the natural jewel of the Sutten area. From the Sutten area, you head up the local mountain of the Tegernsee valley — the Wallberg. Look forward to a unique overnight stay with a view! Your luggage will be taken to the mountain station of the Wallbergbahn in the morning. Your cab will be waiting for you at the Wallbergbahn parking lot at 11:00 a.m. to take you back to the Hirschberg hiking parking lot in Kreuth or Tegernsee train station. Perhaps you now fancy a follow-up tour — for example the Alpine crossing On the pulse of the Alps — from Tegernsee to Kitzbühel.
