Rally Carinthian Lakes — Category A

Price on request

The well-developed cycle paths around the lakes are ideal for leisure cyclists and families. The region in the south of Austria with its Mediterranean climate has almost 200 lakes, some of which you will explore. The special location on the border with Slovenia and Italy makes two great day tours possible: Firstly, you will cycle the famous Alpe Adria cycle path with probably the most spectacular section on the old railroad line from Tarvisio to Venzone. The second tour leads from Kranjska Gora, the Kitzbühel of Slovenia, also on an old railroad line to Italy and back to Austria. The starting point for this trip is the small, dreamy Faaker See lake near Villach. From there, the day tours lead to Lake Wörthersee and the provincial capital of Klagenfurt, Lake Pressegger See, Lake Ossiacher See and the Alpe Adria region — a wonderful cycle tour with the highlights of the region. The Carinthian Lakes rally is a cycle tour for everyone. On mostly asphalted cycle paths with no gradients to speak of and at the end of the day you can enjoy the sunset by the lake.
