Feuer und Eis partner tour

Round trip between Italy’s hills category A

from 1.409,- per person

La vita è bella! There are few better places to enjoy life than in Tuscany. You will encounter vine-covered hills, cypress avenues, historical architecture and cultural sites while cycling in the Italian region. In Pisa you cycle around the Leaning Tower, in Chianti you drink a special wine and in Florence you walk over the Ponte Vecchio. After the daily stages, enjoy the world-famous culinary delights from A for antipasti to Z for zabaglione. While you pass countless vineyards during the day, you can taste the fine wines after the kilometers you have cycled. Natural beauty meets architectural masterpieces — there are few places in the world where this combination is more present than in Tuscany.

Itinerary / Stages

Individual arrival
Distanz: 0 km Höhe (+): 0m Höhe (-): 0m
Arrival in Montecatini Terme. Tour information and bike rental. A first exploratory walk through the famous spa town and you will most likely be amazed by the beauty of the region. You can also take the funicular to Montecatini Alto.
Montecatini Terme — Pisa
Distanz: 40 km Höhe (+): 0m Höhe (-): 0m
The small medieval wine town of Montecarlo, where one of the few white wines in Tuscany thrives, is located on the way to Lucca (alternatively, you can get here on your own by train). Here you cycle along the almost completely preserved city walls — an unforgettable experience! Continue to the lake of Massacciuccoli, also known as Giacomo Puccini’s lake, with breathtaking views as far as the sea and to Pisa to the Piazza dei Miracoli with its world-famous Leaning Tower.
Pisa — Casciana Terme
Distanz: 50 km Höhe (+): 0m Höhe (-): 0m
fertile fields accompany the journey. The route continues through the Pisan hills, on whose gentle slopes lovely wine, juicy olives and sweet peaches thrive. Small, medieval villages cling to the hilltops like swallows’ nests. With these impressions, today’s stage destination, the spa town of Casciana Terme, is soon reached.
Casciana Terme — San Gimignano
Distanz: 55 km Höhe (+): 0m Höhe (-): 0m
The route takes you through vineyards and over gentle ridges on wonderful paths to San Gimignano. The original Tuscan landscape accompanies you along the way. Shortly before you reach your destination, the silhouette of the world-famous medieval towers appears. Each noble family once had its own tower here — these family towers still characterize the townscape today.
San Gimignano — Siena
Distanz: 50 km Höhe (+): 0m Höhe (-): 0m
The wonderful Tuscan landscape on today’s stage will make you forget many a small climb. By the time you reach the fortified village of Monteriggioni, you will feel as if you have been transported back to the Middle Ages. But today’s highlight is undoubtedly the architectural paradise of Siena.
Siena — Castellina in Chianti
Distanz: 40 km Höhe (+): 0m Höhe (-): 0m
Enjoy great views over the vineyards on a beautiful mountain road. Take a break in the stone village of Vagliali and enjoy a good Italian cappuccino before cycling along a white road through vineyards and deciduous forests to Radda. Fortify yourself for lunch with a typical plate of pasta and enjoy the atmosphere of this village jewel before the tour continues into the heart of Chianti to Castellina.
Castellina in Chianti — Florence
Distanz: 65 km Höhe (+): 0m Höhe (-): 0m
On the last day of cycling, the route takes you across a plateau with fantastic views and then hilly to Greve with its enchanting old town. The capital of Tuscany draws ever closer and you cycle comfortably on a long descent to the Ponte Vecchio. You are sure to have found your favorite Tuscan wine this week. Treat yourself to it again at the end of your trip in beautiful Florence.
