This cycle tour is all about Switz­er­lan­d’s swee­test tempt­a­ti­on. Your cycle tour starts at a lei­su­re­ly pace along the shores of Lake Zurich and takes you to the Lindt & Sprüng­li cho­co­la­te fac­to­ry. A detour to Ein­sie­deln Abbey and a pic­tures­que ride over the Ibe­r­egg Pass will take you to Lake Lucer­ne. After a visit to Lucer­ne, con­ti­nue to the cher­ry trees in Zuger­land. Final­ly, the sun smi­les down on you as you cycle along the shores of Lake Zurich — just as it should on a cycle tour for connoisseurs.

Out of the city and through small sub­urbs to Kilch­berg, home to Lindt-Sprüng­li, one of the best-known cho­co­la­te brands. After a gui­ded tour of the cho­co­la­te­ria, you will pour and deco­ra­te a bar of cho­co­la­te. With the pre­cious sou­ve­nir in your lug­ga­ge, you then climb the morai­ne land­scape of the Hir­zel and final­ly roll down to Pfäf­fi­kon SZ. The tour ends with a ride over the See­damm to Rapperswil. 
Train jour­ney Rap­pers­wil — Ein­sie­deln | Ein­sie­deln — Brunnen

Take the train up to Ein­sie­deln. If you wish, you can visit the world-famous monas­tery befo­re start­ing your jour­ney along the mars­hy shores of Lake Sihl up to the Ibe­r­egg Pass. The Gross Mythen is con­side­red the Mat­ter­horn of Cen­tral Switz­er­land and shows you the way to the shores of Lake Lucerne. 
Boat trip Brun­nen Becken­ried | Becken­ried Lucerne
Distanz: 30 km Höhe (+): 220m Höhe (-): 225m
A pic­tures­que boat trip across Lake Lucer­ne takes you to Becken­ried on the other side of the lake. You pass the Pila­tus air­field and reach the lake again at Stans­stad. A scenic rou­te takes you along the shores of the Kas­ta­ni­en­baum pen­in­su­la to the cen­ter of Lucerne. 
Lucer­ne — Zug
Distanz: 31 km Höhe (+): 225m Höhe (-): 240m
This almost flat cycling stage con­nects the cities of Lucer­ne and Zug. An attrac­ti­ve cycle path leads you along the Reuss towards Zuger­land. On the way, you stop in Root and visit the Cho­co­la­tier Aesch­bach adven­ture world. Final­ly, the pic­tures­que old town of Zug with its well-kept river­si­de pro­me­na­de awaits you.

Today’s tour takes you through the Sihl­wald Natu­re Park. A small land­scape para­di­se right on the door­step of the city of Zurich. Stroll along the world-famous Bahn­hofs­stras­se befo­re get­ting on your bike for the last time.

Tour cha­rac­ter
A rou­te for con­nois­seurs. Per­fect­ly sign­pos­ted cycle rou­tes gui­de you through the most beau­tiful sce­n­ery in Cen­tral Switz­er­land. The rou­te is almost enti­re­ly asphal­ted and often leads along quiet side roads or dedi­ca­ted cycle paths. A litt­le fit­ness is requi­red for the hil­ly ride over the Hir­zel and for crossing the Ibe­r­egg Pass. Some traf­fic must be expec­ted in the city cen­ters of Zurich and Lucerne. 
Arrival/parking/departure
Arri­val by public trans­port to Zurich main sta­ti­on. For direct arri­val: Bag­ga­ge drop-off at the bag­ga­ge coun­ter by 10:00 a.m. at the latest. Depar­tu­re by public trans­port from Zurich main sta­ti­on. For direct depar­tu­re: Lug­ga­ge return at the lug­ga­ge coun­ter by 17:00 at the latest.

Howe­ver, you can also book this tour in a 2‑day shorter ver­si­on (direct arri­val and depar­tu­re), in which case the first and last nights are omit­ted and the cor­re­spon­din­gly saved over­night stays redu­ce the total tour pri­ce. This ver­si­on can­not be boo­ked online — we will be hap­py to inform / book you by e‑mail or telephone. 
Other notes
To ensu­re a stress-free start to the trip, we recom­mend arri­ving at the start­ing point by ear­ly evening in most cases. Some tours start as ear­ly as mid­day, in which case we recom­mend arri­ving the day befo­re and will be hap­py to book an extra night for you at the same time. The indi­vi­du­al return jour­ney takes place on the last day of the tour. The kilo­me­ters are appro­xi­ma­te and may dif­fer from the actu­al kilo­me­ters cover­ed. This tour is not sui­ta­ble for peo­p­le with redu­ced mobility.
