A cir­cu­lar hike that leads through uni­que and still litt­le-visi­ted land­scapes. From the Car­nic Alps to the Friu­li­an Dolo­mi­tes via the Three Peaks of Lavare­do to the Friu­li­an Dolo­mi­tes Natu­re Park. 

Itinerary / Stages

Day 1
Arri­val in Tolmezzo

Indi­vi­du­al arri­val at the start­ing hotel in Tolmezzo.
Day 2
Tol­mez­zo — Wolay­er­see — For­ni Avoltri
Distanz: 15 km Höhe (+): 1000m Höhe (-): 0m
After a short trans­fer to For­ni Avol­tri, you begin the hike to Lake Wolay­er, which lies on the Ita­li­an-Aus­tri­an bor­der. On the shores of the lake are the Lam­ber­tenghi — Roma­nin hut and, on for­mer Aus­tri­an ter­ri­to­ry, the Wolay­er See hut, whe­re you can stop for a bite to eat and enjoy typi­cal moun­tain cui­sine. Con­ti­nue over Pas­so Gira­mon­do, from whe­re you can admi­re Lake Bor­da­glia, the jewel of the Car­nic Alps. Then you begin the des­cent to Case­ra Sis­sa­nis and Stret­ta di Fle­ons until you reach For­ni Avoltri. 
Day 3
For­ni Avol­tri — Sappada
Distanz: 16 km Höhe (+): 1300m Höhe (-): 0m
Today’s rou­te beg­ins with the ascent to Mal­ga Tuglia, from whe­re you can enjoy the view of the Sap­pa­da basin and the Peral­ba and Pope­ra moun­ta­ins in Come­li­co. Con­ti­nue along the path to Cima Sap­pa­da and along the cycle path to Mun­schein and final­ly to Sap­pa­da, the desti­na­ti­on of today’s stage. 
Day 4
Sap­pa­da — Laghi DOl­be — Sappada
Distanz: 10 km Höhe (+): 920m Höhe (-): 0m
From the town cen­ter, you start your hike towards the Laghi DOl­be, three lakes with crys­tal-clear water from which you can enjoy a magni­fi­cent pan­ora­ma. Con­ti­nue towards the Mon­te Fer­ro refu­ge along a pan­o­r­amic path across the Sap­pa­da val­ley and then back to the village. 
Day 5
Sap­pa­da — Auron­zo di Cadore
Distanz: 12 km Höhe (+): 1150m Höhe (-): 0m
Today’s stage beg­ins with a trans­fer to Sesto/Sexten, from whe­re you cycle into the Val Fiscalina/Fischlein val­ley. Con­ti­nue along a hiking trail to the Locatel­li hut and the Three Peaks, a UNESCO World Heri­ta­ge Site and sym­bol of the Dolomites. 
Day 6
Auron­zo di Cado­re — Rifu­gio Pado­va hut
Distanz: 9 km Höhe (+): 650m Höhe (-): 0m
After pack­ing your ruck­sack with the essen­ti­als for tonight, take a short trans­fer to Domeg­ge di Cado­re. After crossing the bridge over the Pia­ve, you begin the ascent through the Tala­gona val­ley to the Cer­cenà moun­tain hut, final­ly rea­ching the Rifu­gio Pado­va hut with the Spal­ti del Toro behind you. 
Day 7
Rifu­gio Pado­va hut- For­ni di Sopra
Distanz: 13 km Höhe (+): 1050m Höhe (-): 0m
Today you hike along a scenic rou­te in the Friu­li­an Dolo­mi­tes Park. From the Rifu­gio you ascend along the Ara­de Val­ley, pas­sing the For­cel­la Mon­fal­con di For­ni and the For­cel­la del Cason befo­re rea­ching the Mar­chi-Gran­zot­to bivouac. You then climb up to the Urti­sel Pass and reach the Giaf hut and from the­re the cen­ter of For­ni di Sopra.

If the mini­mum num­ber of par­ti­ci­pan­ts is not rea­ched, we reser­ve the right to can­cel the trip up to four weeks befo­re the date of arri­val. We recom­mend that you do not orga­ni­ze your arri­val and depar­tu­re until after this dead­line has passed.
Other notes
To ensu­re a stress-free start to the trip, we recom­mend arri­ving at the start­ing point by ear­ly evening in most cases. Some tours start as ear­ly as mid­day, in which case we recom­mend arri­ving the day befo­re and will be hap­py to book an extra night for you at the same time. The indi­vi­du­al return jour­ney takes place on the last day of the tour. The kilo­me­ters are appro­xi­ma­te and may dif­fer from the actu­al kilo­me­ters cover­ed. This tour is not sui­ta­ble for peo­p­le with redu­ced mobility.
