Additional information

Tour character
The Way of St. James often follows local and national signposted hiking trails. In rare cases, streams have to be crossed, which is why a certain degree of surefootedness is required. The Munich Way of St. James does not present any technical difficulties. Due to the length of the stages, however, a good basic level of fitness is required.
Arrival
By car: Munich is one of the busiest cities in Germany and is very easy to reach by highway. However, traffic jams are often to be expected at the ends of the highways. Since October 1, 2010, the stricter regulations for the environmental zone have been in force: According to these, only cars with yellow and green stickers are allowed to drive within the Mittlerer Ring; vehicles with red stickers are prohibited. BAHN: Travel to Munich Central Station in a relaxed manner. From here you can reach your hotel by S‑Bahn or U‑Bahn. BY PLANE: The second largest airport in Germany (MUC) is easy to reach from anywhere.
Other notes
To ensure a stress-free start to the trip, we recommend arriving at the starting point by early evening in most cases. Some tours start as early as midday, in which case we recommend arriving the day before and will be happy to book an extra night for you at the same time. The individual return journey takes place on the last day of the tour. The kilometers are approximate and may differ from the actual kilometers covered. This tour is not suitable for people with reduced mobility.
Minimum number of participants
If a minimum number of participants is required for the tour to take place, this is stated under Prices and services. If the minimum number of participants is not reached, we reserve the right to cancel the trip up to four weeks before the date of arrival. We recommend that you do not organize your arrival and departure until after this deadline has passed.
Insurances
Travel cancellation insurance including travel interruption insurance is recommended in any case. Information can be found at: https://www.feuer-eis-touristik.de/reiseversicherung
7‑day carefree number
No matter how well planned a trip is, in rare cases unexpected things happen. At such times, it’s nice to have someone you can rely on on site. For this reason, you will have a local contact person on our individual activity tours who will be happy to provide you with information and, as stated in the travel documents, can be contacted in an emergency.
