Today you have a whole day to settle into Liguria, see the city of Genoa, go on an urban trekking tour or swim at the beautiful bathing spots in Nervi or Boccadasse. We also recommend a stroll through the historic old town of Genoa with its beautiful buildings on Via Garibaldi. The old town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site! The Genoa Aquarium is the second largest aquarium in Europe and the surrounding Porto Antico harbor area, designed by Genoa’s star architect Renzo Piano, is well worth a visit. If you fancy a more challenging hiking tour, you could take the Genoa fortress hike. To do this, you take a historic train into the hinterland in the morning and approach the city from the surrounding mountains. Impressive fortifications from the time when Genoa was one of the most important maritime republics in the Mediterranean lie along the way. From a vantage point with the entire city at your feet, a historic elevator takes you back down to the city center.

The last part of the route takes you along the coastal road to Camogli, the charming town where you will spend the night.
