From the Isar metro­po­lis on the trail of salt across Bava­ria. You will pass typi­cal Bava­ri­an vil­la­ges, the sea of Bava­ria — Lake Chiem­see and reach the metro­po­lis of salt — Salz­burg. You will dis­co­ver towns such as Burg­hau­sen and Mühl­dorf and return to Munich with a ruck­sack full of experiences.

Day 1
Indi­vi­du­al arri­val in Munich

Indi­vi­du­al arri­val in Munich and the rest of the day at lei­su­re. Expe­ri­ence the high­lights of the city on your own. 
Day 2
Munich — Dorfen
Distanz: 70 km Höhe (+): 270m Höhe (-): 330m
You start the tour in a north-eas­ter­ly direc­tion. Cycle in the direc­tion of Unter­föh­ring, Isma­ning to Erding. Here the his­to­ric old town and Schran­nen­platz invi­te you to lin­ger. The rou­te con­ti­nues to Dor­fen, whe­re the first day ends. 
Day 3
Dor­fen — Burghausen
Distanz: 65 km Höhe (+): 360m Höhe (-): 390m
This stage takes you first to Mühl­dorf am Inn. The pic­tures­que litt­le town was an excla­ve of the Arch­bi­shop­ric of Salz­burg in Bava­ria until 1802 and was an important tra­ding cen­ter at the time. The stage ends in Burg­hau­sen. With a length of 1,051 meters, the cast­le in Burg­hau­sen is con­side­red the lon­gest cast­le in the world. 
Day 4
Burg­hau­sen — Ainring
Distanz: 67 km Höhe (+): 450m Höhe (-): 460m
The cycle path from Burg­hau­sen to Ain­ring near Salz­burg runs along the Salz­ach river, which also ser­ves as the bor­der bet­ween Aus­tria and Ger­ma­ny. The Salz­ach takes its name from the salt trade rou­te in the Midd­le Alps. 
Day 5
Ain­ring — Salz­burg — Ainring
Distanz: 20 km Höhe (+): 24m Höhe (-): 38m
Today you have the day at your own dis­po­sal. Salz­burg invi­tes you to explo­re today. 
Day 6
Ain­ring — Siegsdorf
Distanz: 48 km Höhe (+): 470m Höhe (-): 270m
The Boden­see Königs­see cycle path is our com­pa­n­ion for parts of the rou­te today. You can also plan a short detour to Bad Reichenhall. 
Day 7
Siegs­dorf — Rosenheim
Distanz: 57 km Höhe (+): 450m Höhe (-): 610m
Start in Siegs­dorf on the Chiem­see. The Frau­en­in­sel and Her­ren­in­sel islands can be visi­ted here by boat. The cycle path con­ti­nues to Rosenheim. 
Day 8
Rosen­heim — Munich
Distanz: 73 km Höhe (+): 460m Höhe (-): 380m
From Rosen­heim to Munich through pic­tures­que Bava­ri­an villages. 
Day 9
Indi­vi­du­al depar­tu­re or extension

Tour cha­rac­ter
The Was­ser­Radl­We­ge through Upper Bava­ria con­nect some of the most beau­tiful cycle rou­tes in Upper Bava­ria. They fol­low well-known cycle rou­tes such as the Isar-Inn Pan­ora­ma Trail, Sempt-Mang­fall Cycle Trail, Sali­nen Cycle Trail, Lake Con­s­tance-König­see Cycle Trail, Salt Trade Cycle Trail, Inn Cycle Trail, Sempt-Isen Cycle Trail and the Isar Cycle Trail. Indi­vi­du­al sec­tions of the rou­te are also on low-traf­fic side roads. The dif­fe­ren­ces in alti­tu­de along the rou­te are mana­geable, even if the hil­ly ter­rain offers chal­len­ging but enter­tai­ning clim­bs here and there.

By car: Munich is a trans­por­ta­ti­on hub and easy to reach from all direc­tions. By train: Munich main sta­ti­on is very well con­nec­ted with natio­nal and inter­na­tio­nal trains. Munich has a well-deve­lo­ped public trans­por­ta­ti­on net­work. The hotels are clo­se to sub­way and S‑Bahn stops.Parking: Paid par­king available at the part­ner hotel.Arrival by pla­ne: Munich Air­port is an inter­na­tio­nal hub. Alter­na­tively, Mem­min­gen Air­port is also ser­ved by low-cost air­lines. On request, we can orga­ni­ze trans­fers from the air­port to the start­ing point of the tour or your flight.

They are inten­ded for mul­ti-day ren­tals. They have 27-speed Shi­ma­no Ali­vio derailleur gears and hydrau­lic rim bra­kes. Frame shape: Tra­pe­ze and Dia­mant (ladies/men); frame height: 48 cm, 52 cm, 56 cm, 60 cm.e‑bike/pedelec: The Gli­der X is a high-qua­li­ty pedelec with Shi­ma­no Steps dri­ve (418 Wh). Thanks to the powerful motor, you can also tack­le more deman­ding tours with ease. The ran­ge is 80–100 km with avera­ge con­sump­ti­on. To ensu­re a stress-free start to the trip, we recom­mend arri­ving at the start­ing point by ear­ly evening in most cases. Some tours start as ear­ly as mid­day, in which case we recom­mend arri­ving the day befo­re and will be hap­py to book an extra night for you at the same time. The indi­vi­du­al return jour­ney takes place on the last day of the tour. The kilo­me­ters are appro­xi­ma­te and may dif­fer from the actu­al kilo­me­ters cover­ed.
