Win­ter dream at Lake Tegern­see, at the Hotel Christl am See

Eight days in the Tegern­see val­ley, in a win­try land­scape and con­tem­pla­ti­ve atmo­sphe­re. Fresh­ly fal­len snow adorns the sur­roun­dings and makes mea­dows, forests and the lake glis­ten fes­tively! Sel­ec­ted hikes through idyl­lic mea­dow land­scapes, along fan­ta­stic pan­o­r­amic high-alti­tu­de trails and up to the gent­le peaks around the lake await you, while a mull­ed wine on the shore rounds off the day. You will have the oppor­tu­ni­ty to enjoy local and regio­nal pro­ducts as well as spe­cial foods during the tour with a visit to the ducal fish farm and the Tegern­seer Land natu­ral cheese dairy. You start direct­ly from your accom­mo­da­ti­on on foot, by bus and some­ti­mes with our transfers.

Why not arri­ve a litt­le ear­lier and immer­se yours­elf in the win­ter atmo­sphe­re on Lake Tegern­see? Tre­at yours­elf to a warm­ing mull­ed wine and let the win­ter sun car­ess your face while you sit com­for­ta­b­ly wrap­ped up in one of the many cafés right on the lakeshore. 
The high trail across the Tegern­see valley
Distanz: 7 km Höhe (+): 120m Höhe (-): 120m
The first stage offers the per­fect oppor­tu­ni­ty to sett­le in and enjoy the impres­si­ve land­scape at the same time. The jour­ney is made indi­vi­du­al­ly by bus or boat to Gmund. From the­re, you walk along the lake­si­de pro­me­na­de with a magni­fi­cent view of Lake Tegern­see. The rou­te then leads up to the famous Höhen­weg trail, which offers spec­ta­cu­lar views of the Tegern­see val­ley all the way to Tegern­see. The­re, Bava­ri­an deli­ca­ci­es await you in the famous Bräu­st­überl, natu­ral­ly with a view of the lake and the back­drop of the cast­le. Relax at the end of the day and return to your accom­mo­da­ti­on by bus or boat. 
Win­ter Auer­alm tour with views of the sur­roun­ding moun­tain peaks

Today your hike beg­ins in Bad Wies­see and takes you through the pic­tures­que Söll­bach val­ley up to the cozy Auer­alm. Here, sur­roun­ded by maje­s­tic peaks, you can enjoy the peaceful atmo­sphe­re of the moun­ta­ins to the full. After this beau­tiful tour, you have well and tru­ly ear­ned a snack. Streng­the­ned, you then make your way back to the val­ley via a cir­cu­lar rou­te. From the­re, you can return to your accom­mo­da­ti­on on foot, by bus or by boat. 
From Wild­bad Kreuth through the Weiß­ach Auen natu­re paradise

A pic­tu­re-per­fect win­ter’s day awaits you on this easy hike through a peaceful sno­wy land­scape. The trans­fer takes you to the start­ing point of the hike at the Sie­ben­hüt­ten par­king lot, from whe­re the trail leads you past the tra­di­tio­nal ducal fish farm and on to the his­to­ric Hanns Seidl Foun­da­ti­on. You then fol­low the gent­le cour­se of the Weiß­ach, which mean­ders pic­tures­que­ly through the win­try mea­dows. If you wish, you can turn off to the Tegern­seer Land natu­ral cheese dairy — a gour­met stop with fine pro­ducts from the regi­on, home­ma­de cakes, hot cof­fee and, if you like, the oppor­tu­ni­ty to take a look behind the sce­nes of cheese production.

Explo­re the Tegern­see val­ley accor­ding to your own ide­as — how about a rela­xing stroll through ele­gant Rot­tach-Egern and its exclu­si­ve bou­ti­ques, for exam­p­le? Enjoy a roman­tic car­ria­ge ride through the snow-cover­ed land­scape, take a boat trip on Lake Tegern­see, or unwind in the new iod­i­ne sulp­hur bath in Bad Wies­see or the Tegern­see lake­si­de sau­na. For the more adven­tur­ous, the­re is a gon­do­la ride up the Wall­berg fol­lo­wed by win­ter tobog­ga­ning fun or a snow­shoe hike. 
The Rie­der­stein and the impres­si­ve rock chapel
Distanz: 8 km Höhe (+): 440m Höhe (-): 430m
The hiking trail is spor­ty and steep uphill, always accom­pa­nied by breath­ta­king views of the lake. Even­tual­ly you reach the Galaun inn. From the­re, an idyl­lic stair­way leads up to the Rie­der­stein, which offers one of the most impres­si­ve pan­o­r­amic views of Lake Tegern­see. The free-stan­ding cha­pel, per­ched on a rocky out­crop, invi­tes you to take a par­ti­cu­lar­ly fasci­na­ting break. On the way back, you can stop off again at Gast­hof Galaun befo­re the cir­cu­lar rou­te takes you through woods and mea­dows and past a pic­tures­que view­point to the cen­ter of Tegern­see. The­re you can reward yours­elf with a hear­ty snack and a fresh Tegern­see beer in the Her­zog­li­ches Bräustüberl. 
On the Pan­ora­ma Trail to Gmund
Distanz: 7 km Höhe (+): 80m Höhe (-): 160m
On the last day of your eventful week, enjoy a rela­xing hike along the west side of Lake Tegern­see. A trans­fer will take you to the start­ing point of the tour. You cross pic­tures­que forests and mea­dows on the varied high-level trail, while impres­si­ve views of the lake and the sur­roun­ding val­ley open up to you time and again. Final­ly, you reach the nor­t­hern­most point of Lake Tegern­see: Gut Kal­ten­brunn, whe­re a tra­di­tio­nal inn offers the per­fect end to your acti­ve week. Our shut­tle will then take you back to your accommodation.

BY CAR: FROM THE NORTH: Take the A8 Munich-Salz­burg high­way to the Holz­kir­chen exit and then the B318/B307 to Tegern­see. FROM THE SOUTH: Eit­her via the Inn Val­ley, the Achen Pass and the B307 or the Inn Val­ley high­way, the A8 Munich-Salz­burg high­way, to the Irschen­berg exit. Con­ti­nue via the B472 and B318 to Tegern­see. Air­plane: Munich — Salz­burg — Inns­bruck Train: From Munich main sta­ti­on take the BRB to Gmund or Tegern­see, bus or cab to the hotel.
