Win­ter dream at Lake Tegern­see short trip, at Hotel Bellevue

A short vaca­ti­on in the enchan­ting, win­try land­scape around Lake Tegern­see and its high­lights. Hike through the popu­lar win­ter regi­on of the Tegern­see Val­ley, through idyl­lic mea­dow land­scapes, along fan­ta­stic pan­o­r­amic high-alti­tu­de trails and up to the gent­le peaks around the lake. And at the end of each day, enjoy a mull­ed wine on the roman­tic lake­si­de. You can enjoy local and regio­nal pro­ducts and spe­cial foods during the tour with a visit to the ducal fish farm and the Tegern­seer Land natu­ral cheese dairy. You start direct­ly from your accom­mo­da­ti­on on foot, by bus or car and some­ti­mes with our transfers.

Itinerary / Stages

Indi­vi­du­al arri­val — Wel­co­me to the Tegern­see Val­ley from a bir­d’s eye view
Distanz: 7 km Höhe (+): 120m Höhe (-): 120m
After your arri­val, enjoy a pan­o­r­amic hike on the Tegern­see High Trail. After­wards, the famous Bräu­st­überl awaits you with regio­nal deli­ca­ci­es, a cast­le back­drop and a view of the lake. The spor­ty opti­on takes you fur­ther up via the popu­lar Berg­gast­hof Neu­reuth with a magni­fi­cent view of the Tegern­see valley. 
Up to the Rie­der­stein with its impres­si­ve rock chapel
Distanz: 8 km Höhe (+): 440m Höhe (-): 430m
A well-main­tai­ned hiking trail takes you up a steep, spor­ty climb. In bet­ween, gre­at views of the lake are a con­stant sur­pri­se. Once you arri­ve at Gast­hof Galaun, take the idyl­lic stair­way to the Rie­der­stein abo­ve Lake Tegern­see. The free-stan­ding cha­pel on a rocky out­crop offers a par­ti­cu­lar­ly fasci­na­ting view. On the way back, you can take a break at Gast­hof Galaun befo­re fol­lo­wing a cir­cu­lar rou­te through woods, mea­dows and a beau­tiful view­point to the cen­ter of Tegern­see, whe­re you have ear­ned a hear­ty snack and a good Tegern­see beer at the Her­zog­li­ches Bräustüberl.
From Wild­bad Kreuth through the Weiß­ach floodplains

Enjoy a rela­xing hike through a win­try land­scape with quiet, snow-cover­ed forests and a clear river with ici­c­les lining its banks. In the mor­ning, a trans­fer will take you to the start­ing point at the Sie­ben­hüt­ten hiking par­king lot. From the­re, the trail first leads past the ducal fish farm and on to the Hanns Seidl Foun­da­ti­on, which is stee­ped in histo­ry. The rou­te then con­ti­nues at a lei­su­re­ly pace along the rus­hing Weiß­ach through the natu­ral Weiß­ach flood­plains down into the val­ley. If you feel like it, you can take a detour to the Tegern­seer Land natu­ral cheese dairy, whe­re you can enjoy regio­nal spe­cial­ties to take away, a cosy café with cake and, if you wish, an inte­res­t­ing gui­ded tour of the pro­duc­tion facilities. 
Indi­vi­du­al depar­tu­re — Auer­alm tour under the moun­tain peak
Distanz: 14 km Höhe (+): 550m Höhe (-): 550m
Today is the day of depar­tu­re. If you have time befo­re your depar­tu­re, hike from Bad Wies­see through snow-cover­ed forests to the rustic Auer­alm. On the sun ter­race, let your gaze wan­der over the snow-cover­ed moun­ta­ins and enjoy Bava­ri­an deli­ca­ci­es. Return via a cir­cu­lar route.

BY CAR: FROM THE NORTH: Take the A8 Munich-Salz­burg high­way to the Holz­kir­chen exit and then the B318/B307 to Tegern­see. FROM THE SOUTH: Eit­her via the Inn Val­ley, the Achen Pass and the B307 or the Inn Val­ley high­way, the A8 Munich-Salz­burg high­way, to the Irschen­berg exit. Con­ti­nue via the B472 and B318 to Tegern­see. Air­plane: Munich — Salz­burg — Inns­bruck Train: From Munich main sta­ti­on take the BRB to Gmund or Tegern­see, bus or cab to the hotel.
