A short vaca­ti­on in the enchan­ting win­ter land­scape around Lake Tegern­see and its high­lights. Hike through the popu­lar win­ter desti­na­ti­on of the Tegern­see Val­ley, pas­sing through idyl­lic flood­plain land­scapes, along stun­ning pan­o­r­amic high-alti­tu­de trails, and over the gent­le peaks sur­roun­ding the lake. And to round off each day, tre­at yours­elf to a cozy glass of mull­ed wine on the roman­tic lakes­hore. During the tour, you’ll also expe­ri­ence local food pro­duc­tion with a visit to the ducal fish farm and the Tegern­seer Land natu­ral cheese dairy. You’ll set out direct­ly from your lodging—on foot, by bus, or via transfer—and in some cases using our transfers.

Day 1
Indi­vi­du­al arri­val — Wel­co­me to the Tegern­see Val­ley from a bir­d’s eye view
Distanz: 7 km Höhe (+): 120m Höhe (-): 120m
After arri­ving, you’ll enjoy a scenic hike along the Tegern­see High Trail today. After­ward, the famous Bräu­st­überl awaits you with regio­nal deli­ca­ci­es, a cast­le back­drop, and a view of the lake. The more chal­len­ging rou­te takes you even hig­her, past the popu­lar Berg­gast­hof Neu­reuth, which offers magni­fi­cent views of the Tegern­see Valley. 
Day 2
Up to the Rie­der­stein with its impres­si­ve rock chapel
Distanz: 8 km Höhe (+): 440m Höhe (-): 430m
The well-main­tai­ned hiking trail leads stee­p­ly uphill—a chal­len­ging hike. Along the way, you’ll be trea­ted to stun­ning views of the lake time and again. Once you arri­ve at Gast­hof Galaun, fol­low an idyl­lic stair­ca­se path to the Rie­der­stein over­loo­king Lake Tegern­see. The free­stan­ding cha­pel on a rocky out­crop offers a par­ti­cu­lar­ly fasci­na­ting view. On the way back, you can take a break at the Galaun Inn befo­re con­ti­nuing along a loop trail through forests, mea­dows, and past a beau­tiful view­point into the cen­ter of Tegern­see, whe­re you’ll have ear­ned a hear­ty snack and a good Tegern­see beer at the Her­zog­li­ches Bräustüberl. 
Day 3
From Wild­bad Kreuth through the Weiß­ach floodplains
Distanz: 10 km Höhe (+): 90m Höhe (-): 20m
Enjoy a lei­su­re­ly hike through a win­try land­scape of quiet, snow-cover­ed forests and a clear river who­se banks are lined with ici­c­les. In the mor­ning, a shut­tle will take you to the start­ing point at the Sie­ben­hüt­ten hiking par­king lot. From the­re, the trail first pas­ses the Ducal Fish Farm and con­ti­nues on to the his­to­ric Hanns Seidl Foun­da­ti­on. It then winds downhill at a lei­su­re­ly pace along the rus­hing Weiß­ach River through the near-pris­ti­ne Weiß­ach flood­plains. If you’d like, you can take a detour to the Tegern­seer Land natu­ral cheese dairy, whe­re you’ll find regio­nal spe­cial­ties to take home, a cozy café ser­ving cake, and, if available, an inte­res­t­ing gui­ded tour of the pro­duc­tion facilities. 
Day 4
Indi­vi­du­al depar­tu­re — Auer­alm tour under the moun­tain peak
Distanz: 14 km Höhe (+): 550m Höhe (-): 550m
Today is the day of depar­tu­re. If you have time befo­re your depar­tu­re, hike from Bad Wies­see through snow-cover­ed forests to the rustic Auer­alm. On the sun ter­race, let your gaze wan­der over the snow-cover­ed moun­ta­ins and enjoy Bava­ri­an deli­ca­ci­es. Return via a cir­cu­lar route.

BY CAR: FROM THE NORTH: Take the A8 Munich-Salz­burg high­way to the Holz­kir­chen exit and then the B318/B307 to Tegern­see. FROM THE SOUTH: Eit­her via the Inn Val­ley, the Achen Pass and the B307 or the Inn Val­ley high­way, the A8 Munich-Salz­burg high­way, to the Irschen­berg exit. Con­ti­nue via the B472 and B318 to Tegern­see. By pla­ne: Munich — Salz­burg — Inns­bruck By train: From Munich main sta­ti­on, take the BRB to Gmund or Tegern­see, bus or cab to the hotel.
